Content

In this release we've got the first real version of the game's regular gameplay loop! It will develop a lot over time, of course, as we add more functionality, features and obviously content, but this is an important step that means we've got the spine of the game in place.

There's also new content - some scenes around the manor, new events and a new CG! To access the new content just play through the a new game - you'll probably encounter everything new by around the end of day 8.

And a little tip - disciplining Beth is probably the most useful thing you can do right now.

Major changes:

The full, detailed change log is attached below, and in the game by clicking the version number on the menu screen.

  • A series of three story scenes concerning a little sub-plot about how Beth has been keeping the other maids up at night... (featuring a new, non-animated Beth CG!)
  • A new "disgusted" variation on Beth's "ritual" hand job scene, for when you have her do it at a low relationship level. (The "interested" version from 0.1 is still in the game, it just takes some work to get there, now.)
  • Making the maid complete the ritual can also now fail or succeed based on obedience, so you might have to try again to see the climax!
  • Four new events for Lord Goblin to resolve while holding court.
  • A more or less playable gameplay loop. (Although please note there's still much more development to be done on this.)

Troubleshooting:

  • Old, low performance systems may struggle with loading and running the main gameplay mode. We're planning to make a low quality mode for older systems eventually, but right now that's not supported. We don't have enough data for "recommended system requirements" yet either, but we plan on offering those, too.

Although my computer is meanwhile 5 years and some months old it isn't so bad yet, isn't it? Intel Core i7-2600 CPU 3.4 GHz 8 GB RAM Windows OS 64-Bit Graphic card NVidia GeForce 750 Ti That should be just as enough for "Lord Goblin", right? Maybe the graphic card is a bit underaverage but the rest is still okay, no?

We don't actually know what the system requirements are, just yet, but if the game loads and seems to run just fine on v0.1, then your system is good enough.

I have an older computer too. It starts to run and then crashes after the mouse scene. Is this related to the problems everyone is having? Is their anything I can do to fix it? When do you think you will have a fix?

BBBen AIF

Sorry about that, but I think your computer just probably doesn't reach the minimum required specifications for the game. I know, we haven't published those yet as we're still figuring out what to recommend, but if it's crashing at that part then it's because the main game is probably drawing more memory or VRAM than you have available. I'll give you a refund.

By the way, we are planning a low performance mode for systems that can't handle the manor assets, but that will come later in development, so please keep following the page if you want to get notified about that!

Great Game for just a pre alpha, really got my goblin sense tingling. Thank the boys of the SOC dev team for telling me about this beauty of a project and insisting I try the game out, as I am there resident Cute Goblin Bastard (all things goblinophile.) Just wanted to say I am looking forward to this project with great enthusiasm as a fellow Gobbo! XD

Just joined, love the Az'ea art, hoping she could do the ritual lol. Keep up the good work.

BBBen AIF

Thanks for the support! We're planning Az'ea to be available for the ritual *probably* next release, although she won't have the voicing finished for that scene yet, so I'll have to decide whether to go ahead with that and add the voicing later or include one of the other girls' scenes instead. We'll see!

Lol I may have been too distracted by the art to put headphones on, I'll have to do another playthrough
