The sequel is really great too, despite being of a completely different energy. I think you’ll like Trainspotting 2 quite a lot more, actually.

You should watch The Full Monty (1997), one of my personal favorites. Not only is it a really fun movie, but you’ll see Robert Carlyle (Begby) in a completely different light. It’s hard to imagine it’s the same actor.

Full Monty is such a great movie! Endearing, great music, funny as hell. I usually wind up watching that at least once a year.
