Hey! So, uh, whoah!

Here is the thing: I totally understand and support Patreon needing to make fee changes somewhere in order to fund their company, pay their employees, and turn a profit. It's just, as the small business using their service, I already expect that I am the one who will foot that bill! It's the same for when I use Square to charge credit cards at a convention, or every time a payment is sent to me through PayPal or Ko-Fi, or Topatoco sells my merchandise, or Comixology sells my ebooks-- they all take fees 'cos they gotta support themselves too. The fee hike that Patreon proposed is not unreasonable, it's just that they were offloading it onto the wrong people.

For those of you that stuck around, thank you so much.
For those of you that had to cancel your pledge, I totally understand and I so sincerely appreciate the support you shared with me already.

Basically, thank you everyone, including Patreon, for enabling me to do this work! I'll keep doing it until I can't ;)

xoxoxox,
Erika

We messed up. We're sorry, and we're not rolling out the fees change. - The Patreon Blog

Creators and Patrons, We've heard you loud and clear. We're not going to rollout the changes to our payments system that we announced last week.

Sorry it took me so long to respond to this. Keith Knight also talked about this. I was too lazy to quit so I just sent a support email to Patreon and said I might quit and just send you $ via Paypal instead.
