Hey Squad, and welcome to all the new faces that joined in the past few days :)
I'd like to share some of the thoughts I've been running through, the issues that they pose for our channel. Clearly from the Polls, Sculpting and Animation are things you guys would really like to see covered in the near future - And, I started creating a Lesson Plan to cover those series, but... it soon dawned on me that creating a new series about either of those subjects may be a bad idea when Blender is about to make a major update the following Month. The worst thing that can happen for a tutorial channel like ours is for a series to become "outdated" a week after it's completed :(

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Blender 3.0 and it's supposed to be a big change from 2.9. So, I feel it's probably in our best interest to wait until 3.0 has been released before I create the next major series regarding Sculpting or Animation. Otherwise we run the risk of our videos being buried in all the "Blender 3.0 New Feature Videos" lol

This leaves us with a couple alternative things we can cover while waiting for 3.0 to finalize. 1, we can cover more general soft subjects regarding Project Management, does and don'ts, and experiences/techniques I've found that helped me sharpen my skills in 3D software. 2, we can venture to new territory and explore things we'll need to know in the future like Environment Generation, special effects, and things of that nature. There are a few other ideas I have too, but I'm still deciding on the best way to use our time productively and save the important series till after the update -

Anyway, that is our current position right now, and my thoughts thus far, feel free to share any opinions or perspectives if you have ideas :)

holding off for 3.0 sounds sane to me. Project Management is an art that can kill a project helping there I think is always useful, I also love me action scenes so environments and special effects (destructible objects..) would really float my boat.

Are there any topics you could cover in Unity while we wait for Blender 3.0? Might be worth doing during this lull.

There are quite a few actually. I've been considering that option too, and since Unity rarely makes drastic changes, it's a pretty safe place to make tutorials while we're waiting -

I have a bit of a leaning towards environments at the moment too lol I'll chew on this for a few more days, and let you guys know as soon as I've made my decision -
