Many of you are probably aware of our Plans to generate high quality characters for the Community. Specifically our "RPG Set" that will start with the Witch. I just started messing in zBrush for the first time today and it ROCKED my world, and I thinking the Witch will also be the first character we create in zBrush. I've found a whole lot of AMAZING tools that super speed up the character creation process -

However, the very "first" character we give to the community is going to be EXA. The main reason for that is because I'd like to have at least 1 Advanced character for the Community that is done in Anime style shading. We've been building her over the course of the last year and a half, and if you add up all the time we've put into modeling, rigging, weight painting, constraints, drivers, shape keys, and enabling MoCap compatibility, she's literally got hundreds of hours of work put into her, and I don't think there are many Animation Ready models like her that you will be able to find for free -

I know a few of you have brought up the concern of putting up such advanced models available for free. My close friends have expressed similar concern, and I'm still deciding what to do exactly about this. But, I've got a few ideas on how to do this, and I'll be posting a poll up very soon to see how most of you guys would like to approach this question.

In the meanwhile, I'm preparing Exa for the community, fixing topology, perfecting shape keys, maybe include some bonus default animations if I have time, hope you guys look forward to it :)

I wouldnt say slight difference, I expect your gonna spend many hours perfecting each character in ZBrush adding a lot more details. I would say also, maybe the free version is the low poly and the patron version is the med poly and zbrush enhanced?

IMO, any free models are icing on the cake. I think you have positioned yourself as a master at teaching others how to do all this for ourselves.
