Ah... the famous Salt Flats in Utah! I did not expect to actually get to shoot here this year, nonetheless all the other amazing places that we visited last month. Looking back, I am beyond glad that my original March tour dates did not pan out; if they did, I would have missed out on this amazing adventure with Lauren.

The Salt Flats are a must do for photographers. It is famous for its scenery and unique texture as well as its pools of water for reflection shots. Car commercials and shoots have been done here, and I can definitely see why! They also do drive tests for cars here; there is a little marked off section for anyone to use called the Speedway, and it is exactly as it sounds - and yes, we did floor it once on our way back to the entrance! It was such an amazing experience. I can't say it enough or even begin to explain it all.

Before we officially left at sunset, I got a little vial of the sand to take home. It doesn't quite look as pretty as it does sparkling on the ground (it's pretty thick and muddy underneath), but I like having little reminders of all the places I've traveled. I kind of want to get little biomes of different places I've traveled.

The salt felt so interesting to the touch. When I took my shoes off, it felt cold and wet! It also did a number on these soft fabric shoes, but that's okay. So worth it.

Lauren worked on these yesterday and sent me the folder last night. Great timing, as I was starting to work on more from this location as well. Lauren helped me take some self-portraits here and I shot her too, so those will be coming soon!

I still can't get over this outfit. I love styling for shoots!
