Happy Earth Day! 🌎

I hope you all had a great Friday and managed to find some time to appreciate the Earth and all it offers to us. Unfortunately, I was a little under the weather today and mostly just slept and lounged around; I came to life a little at 5pm and got a little bit done, but yeah. Hangin' in there. I have a big weekend ahead of me and will make time this Sunday to properly celebrate mother nature and all her glory.

Until then, flashback to Malibu when the sun was warm and the waves were cool. I miss California. I miss traveling. I haven't even been home that long, and already I am nostalgic for the midnight sky and dimly lit highways. Lauren was a fantastic travel partner; it was really great to have a photographer constantly by my side as well as someone who can step in front of the camera as well. I think we make a great team.

This dress didn't really end up fitting as well as I had hoped, but that's okay. It was an $18 find and I am confident I can find the perfect model or client for it! That is one thing I love about doing photography; even if I can't wear the amazing pieces I find, someone can! Though, for this dress, I think a little hemming and photoshop could make it convincing enough. I have some of my own self-portraits from this day that I still need to upload and play around with. I am soooo behind on editing at this point. I'm shot out (ha, okay, not like that)!

But man... I'll never get tired of this scenery... the west coast is just something else, and Malibu's beaches make me want to runaway and escape to Cali forever. I would love to live in Malibu, if I ever really make it in life. A cute little house on top of the hills overlooking this gorgeous ocean? Yeah, I'm okay with that. Plus, Malibu is near by L.A., but without all the city life. It's more like home, just.... upscale and prettier!

Could you imagine being a kid and going to high school in Malibu? Ha! My trailer-park childhood self can only imagine... but, look at me now.

And we're not even half way there. πŸ’™
