Alright! So, with the allowance of the one person who actually voted, I decided to do an experiment for the 'comic' reward this time. In truth, the result isn't a comic...though it actually has roughly the same number of renders as the comics I've been making thus far. I wasn't actually planning for that to be the case...it just sort of happened. I was aiming for 10-12 renders...and ended up with 19. Oops.

Regardless, this was actually still less effort on my part, and less stressful. But it remains to be seen if anyone likes my little experiment. What I did was create a mutant melding of a short story and renders. I've actually done it before, wwwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy back when I first started a Patreon Page and was making Eros Academy. Called them Mixed Media shorts back then, I think.

This works better for me because, frankly put, I'm a rather verbose storyteller. I discovered right quick that I have a really hard time condensing story down into comic page form. This format allows me to tell the story I can imagine, without having to brutalize it down into a format I'm not very suited to right. While, of course, still making it a visual story.

As for the story itself, it's a completely original work. In truth, I'd actually considered it as a possible plot for the next game I'll be making. It didn't make the final cut of my ideas for that, but there was nothing wrong with the basic premise, so I quite happily adapted the concept for use here. If people like it, I could easily see making more of them. Though, on a final note...I have to admit that I experimented in more than just the format. I decided to give first person perspective a stab...and I'm not sure how well it turned out. It's simply not a perspective that I've written every often, at all...also I was pretty punch drunk while trying to fix the many screw ups in tense shift that resulted, so I have little idea how badly I may have fucked that up. Hopefully, it's not terrible...

Story is attached as a PDF. Included the original renders in a zip file just for grins. They don't have any text, so you'll need the PDF to read the story...
