In the penultimate episode of One Piece, we FINALLY delve deeper into Nami's backstory, shedding light on her reasons for working with Arlong and her underlying plans. The reveal is skillfully executed, maintaining suspense until the very end of the episode. The narrative's shift between Nami's perspective and that of the Marines adds to the ongoing cat-and-mouse dynamic, which has been consistently engaging and really well crafted.

One Piece 1x7 FULL REACTION

You should definiteley react to Nami‘s Help Me scene from the anime (posted on the official Crunchyroll YT channel). That scene was the one that hooked many people to the show, including Nami‘s actress Emily. While you‘re at it check out Zoro vs Mihawk (I recommend the remastered version which is also on YT). I think Zoro‘s inner monologue made it more impactful than the LA version. Feel free to ask us for links so you don‘t have to go through spoiler :)

The writer Oda is the greatest story teller of modern times (in my opinion) and in the manga/anime it is even a higher level of writing because he fits SO much into the story, with it including higher and higher pay-offs the further into the story one gets. The fact that this live action could properly convey the story so well that it gains new fans makes me so unbelievably happy. Thank you so much again for fitting these reactions in <3 <3 <3

Would love to see you guys react to the Fear Street trilogy on Netflix which is where I first saw Emily Rudd (the actress who plays Nami) on screen.

I would totally be here to see you guys react to the One Piece anime, the amount of tears I have shed over it and the many many beautiful and soul shattering stories Oda has written.

To what Oak said about the Grand Line map, being copyable, I originally assumed that because it was a military map, it would have more secrets on it such as military bases and special facilities not known to civilians. Which would explain why the map needed such a high level of security clearance.

This episode really made me love the show, it went above my rating for the show. I was sold already on the first episode and at that time I was at a solid 4, episode 3 and 4 bumped me up to a 4.5 because I really liked the darker atmosphere they went for. Episode 5 and 6 bumped it up to 5, I loved Sanji's backstory and Mihawk, then this episode happened and that scene at the end with Nami happened and I was thinking, but I'm already at 5, it's 5+ now, I guess, also, I must find all the reactions now. Which is how I found your Patreon and I've been loving your reactions. Not just for this but also your Harry Potter reactions and some of the other movie reactions I've seen, as I'm slowly catching up on your past reactions, just watched Crazy, Stupid, Love, that was a fun reaction.

This is the point where I got hooked on the manga. So far this has been quite good for an adaptation but I really question why they made Nojiko not know what Nami was doing? Also some future adaptation introduced plothole with Arlong wanting the map to the Grand Line.
