Arcane 1X3 FULL REACTION

Comments

Zen Reacts

Thank you Answer, all the reactors I see watch this no one ever mentions how Violet saying she can't lose Powder is true in the reverse as well.

Anonymous

Y'all wanted some back story, well here it is lol.

Ana

I love how yall didn't hate Vi in that moment. A lot of reactors takes Powder's side. Some for superficial reasons. That aside people forget that Vi may be older but she is still a child too. And she had a very human reaction to losing her family again

Ana

Also can you guys please please pleeeeease react to Demon Slayer or My hero academia next??? Please don't do attack on titan next. I know you guys will really love My hero Academia. I feel like that would be y'all fav anime. And Demon slayers is so beautiful and it's also a little shorter

Megan

Now the story really begins! Silco is my favorite character and although I loved Vander, he was willing to let Zaun continue to suffer for Vi and Powder. Silco understands there will be bloodshed but he also knows that things can't continue how they have been. Like he said, he doesn't need war, just to instill fear (with that purple stuff). All that was needed was for Vander to work smarter instead of using brute strength to try and solve problems.

S tier reaction!!! I agree with Diamond Dave that the end scene is purposefully shown from VI’s perspective slowly being knocked unconscious from the chloroform and watching her sister being taken in by the enemy but not being able to do anything. Riot does such a great job with the small details, such as this. Every time I watch this show I notice something different that I missed before. With your reaction I noticed that Marcus was holding the blood money coin and contemplating his decision to make a deal with Silco during the last monkey bomb explosion perspective scene. It explains so much in those few seconds why he was gunning for those kids before and then does a 180 and presumably saves Vi from being killed by Silco. Can’t wait for the rest of the reactions!

Badd Medicine

Yeah, they did a great job there with Vi. It makes it an intense moment but powder did do a terrible thing, unintentionally of course. Emotions were going to be running high there.

Cyan

I love how up until this episode, the show is good, but the hype doesn't make sense until this 3rd ep flips the entire script on its head. This ep is 'the hook' of the show. Just exceptionally well written and well made.

I was waiting for this!! Great reaction guys, I love that you all think things through really well. The rest of the season is just as great! Can’t wait to see the next one :)

Love how the show made Silco empathize with Powder as soon as he saw the similarities between them: The feeling of betrayal from your sibling. And powder just needing acceptance and reassurance, she found it with him. Also is worth noting that Powder never saw Silco before that last scene, she doesn't know who he is, that's why she hugs him, in her position he is just a man asking if her and her sister were ok. Also the two sides of the coin with the gem stones happening at the same time, in Heimer's lab and with the Monkey bomb. At the end the Arcane is just a powerful tool that can be used in different situations for good or bad. And as a side thing. Is there any way to request a reaction for a video? (Single time, not a series). I have a video that a therapist does diving in the psychology of some characters in Arcane that once you finish the series I'd like to request/commission.

The wait for this one was absolutely worth it, loved the reaction and really excited to see how the rest of the show is for you guys. Really enjoying your analysis and discussions, as well as love for the visuals. Also gotta say, one thing I really appreciate about your guys' reactions is despite having some discussion/comments during a show or movie, it's never too much to detract your guys' attention away from what's going on. I see that happen to a lot of other reactors in that they just get so caught up in their own thoughts (especially if it's more than one person) that they end up unfortunately missing important scenes and details. Next ep can't come soon enough!

[NON-SPOILER] I never heard the term 86 used in the way Oak uses it. Is it because of a term related to war or is it a genre thing? Like the way Oak uses it, "He got 86'd", instead of "He got K***ed", I find that because he used it in the sense of when Vander (on the shimmer) destroyed that other guy on shimmer, it kind of made sense.🧐 86 being the slang term of people who are not welcome as well as something that is no longer available... and thought that was clever wording. Reminded me of a series I completed last year for the 2nd time called 86, about warfare, a good light novel series. Besides that, this is my second time watching Arcane and I'm glad I'm watching it with the whole crew this time! Diamond Dave made a cool point about how that last scene when the music kicked in looked like Vi's perspective when she got taken away...😲 I never thought that through my first watch through this series. I also read on reddit how that last scene with Powder in Silco’s arms is surprisingly like the famous painting "Fallen Angel" by Alexandre Cabanel, kind of like Powder essentially "falling from grace" after the explosion from the hextech gems. Prideful like Lucifer, Powder could not help herself from trying to do something to become "equal" with the "leaders" of the crew. I really liked the discussion about the flashback story and the fact that this was essentially the first chapter in the season concluded. Really good discussions and to tie it back to Oaks wording, the Lanes really seems like an 86 kind of place... 🤔 I can’t wait for the following episodes, some things I forgot about and other things I'm discovering again and finding hidden gems here and there. Don't do what I did and look up lore on the videogame characters, I ended up spoiling myself on something I feel might be used in the following season which I can’t forget about now because of the nature of the information... anyways... I'm super excited! Can't wait! 😁

Arcane is such a good show not only for the plot but also for how deep and dimensional the characters are, along with the animation. That is what makes Atla good and it is what makes arcane even better.

86 is also a term used in restaurants to say that the item is no longer in the menu

MJ Eid

Although mason Quinn did miss clagor taking a piece of shrapnel to the face . But I agree.

Miss_CJ

Agreed! Vi was definitely being sad and angry. She lost everyone and then Powder comes to her to drop a bomb (no pun intended), boasting on how her monkey worked...i'd be upset too. And something people forget is that Vi didn't abandon her sister, she just walked away to cool off for a bit. When she saw Silco approaching Powder, Vi tried to get to her but was stopped by an officer. Vi thinks her sister is in danger, while Powder thinks her sister left her for good.

Badd Medicine

Thank you. We definitely try to avoid that as much as possible. Once in awhile we miss 😂🤜🤛

Badd Medicine

Going to be interesting moving forward seeing what will happen and how silco will use that 👀👀👀👀

Badd Medicine

Hello Ana, currently scheduled after this is Korra and then AOT. We can add that to the list 🤙

Megan

86 just means "got rid of." So any time it is used, it means something or someone was gotten rid of by either being fired, killed, or removed (from a position, an item from a spot, etc.).

Lirryk

thx again for this awesome reaction. What I really love with this show (besides animation, art, soundtrack, character development...yeah...you get the point, I love this ^^) is the fact they use so many scenes kind of repeatedly like de ja vus with diff characters. And parallels to art...the last scene with powder looking at "us"? Look up La'Ange dechu (Fallen Angel), by Alexandre Cabanel ...it's a tribute. And there are so many little details like this either to art, or later in the series to things happening before. I am really happy riot provided so much time, trust and money to the production.

Yo where are the Arcane YT cuts? Not everyone can use the watch along formats

JD9

Here it is! Will comment it on the newest early access and the last episode just as a reminder. I'd really LOVE if you react to it, even if it's just a patron only thing, I really think you guys would like a deep dive in the relationship, and I really want to know your opinions about it. (Also, if you want to take it as a commission, let me know, send me a message and we can discuss the cost for it!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8xTj4nmBx8
