Man in theaters I actually thought I was going to die from the opening. The vibrations from his punches were so absurdly loud it felt like my insides were being torn to pieces.

Oak, you're EXACTLY RIGHT that what we see here is just as unrealistic as plenty of other movies that are criticized and really bashed for being unrealistic. But a while back I saw a great bit of commentary on-line that really expanded my mind as to why some bits of unrealism are accepted and others aren't. It was talking specifically about fantasy media, but I've expanded it to everything else. "I do not want my fantasy media to be REALISTIC. I want my fantasy media to be CONVINCING." When I saw that it was like a lightswitch flipped for me and encapsulated why sometimes it bothers us, and sometimes it doesn't. So when a movie is completely unrealistic but SELLS IT, we can accept it. Whereas if another movie half-asses it, even if it's not "more" unrealistic, it's harder for the audience to swallow.

Ooooo I didn’t know that was happening that does look interesting. Maybe they could do something like how they did with Luke skywalker in the mandolorian where they use de aging cgi except hopefully it’ll look more realistic with how technology is rapidly improving.🤔

The director and Keanu were pretty direct about the ending, the entire purpose of making a 4th movie was for that outcome. Quite from Keanu as a reply to somewhat hide what they say about the end-

Reeves also elaborated on the explanation of how the ending came to be. “We had the opportunity [to do another film] because of the audience [response to] Chapter Three, and we were like, ‘What was the Why?'” Reeves explained. “And when Chad and I was talking, the Why? was death — and it was John Wick’s death.” He continued, “For him to get his peace, or freedom, in a way… that was the reason to make the movie. It can’t just be, ‘Let’s do another one’. It was really about death, or a way of dying. We were really inspired by the Hagakure.” The Hagakure is a spiritual guide for a warrior outlined back to Japanese samurai’s in the 17th century.
