Kung Fu Hustle.... was fun!!! Originally released in 2004 and directed by Stephen Chow, this movie is simply a fun ride. You can’t really ask for more than this films gives its audience: unique characters, dance breaks and fights, movie references and of course the imaginative and creative story driving the film. It’s fun, pretty easy to follow and the complexity is within the fight choreography more so than the main storyline. Chow created quite the universe for this tale to be told.

I loveee Kung Fu Hustle!!!! I wish the full reactions came with a Vimeo link to have parts of the movie shown, its less enjoyable to not visually see what you guys are looking at😩and putting it on my own tv just doesn't give the same effect. I hope the YT cut comes out soon. Happy Friday!

Curtis Rice

Never seen it before today, happy to go along on the ride with you guys.

Such a great movie, if you watch it with someone fluent in the languages it adds to both the comedy and depth. Need to follow up with Shaolin Soccer (same director) and Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

In the movie if they refer to other people as "Big brother" or something similar, it's a way of showing respect to those who are older than you .

I love this movie so much, I had tears laughing so much in theaters watching it when it released first time

Mintteacup

Just curious, did you guys watch this with english voices?

This isn't everyone's cup of tea but I like it. A lot of Stephen Chow's films feel like real life cartoons. Can't wait to watch through your reaction!

I just finished watching this with the reactions, it was great! You guys should definitely check out Shaolin Soccer from Stephen Chow as well!

BHillzebub

My biggest take from this reaction is that none of you have seen Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. This needs to be remedied ASAP.

The whole... Stephen Chowverse? is pretty fun. Shaolin Soccer was great and there's a little nod to it in Kung Fu Hustle. Early on, when the kids are playing soccer and the ball ends up with Stephen Chow's character. He busts it and says something like "No more soccer!", which was apparently his way of saying there wouldn't be a sequel to Shaolin Soccer. If the Badd Medicine crew are up for watching any more Stephen Chow films in the future, I'd also recommend Out of the Dark. It's a horror-comedy that has some fun laughs. You'll begin to notice many of his films have the same actors. Lots of chemistry between them all. Also just want to say that so many of his films contain references and easter eggs. The flood of blood from the Shining was intentional, as was the Spider Man line. It's great because it makes the films a lot more internationally accessible, since there are often jokes that are referencing local things in Hong Kong that those of us not living there wouldn't generally get!

YESSSS ✋ Best birthday present- watched a Badd Medicine reaction with one of my favorite movies. It’s so over the top and a very entertaining film!

Great movie! They announced they're working on a sequel for it by Stephen Chow again (Played main character and directed)! You may recognize Wah Yuen who played Master Guang Bo in Shang-Chi (The Bow trainer for Shang Chi's friend) too along with other actors and actresses who are very well known in the Kung-Fu movie world!

Yen

I believe the same main characters played in Shaolin Soccer as well. Like Stephen Chow's obese sidekick, the Axe Gang leader and his assistant was also in Shaolin Soccer.

First watched this as I was a kid and love it since.
