Here we are folks! Twilight! Honestly... this was fun, but at the same time a lot of you are NOT wrong with your opinions towards this film. Almost every comment about the "cringe" was on point!!! The review gets a little heated just a tad bit. None the less, we are here for all 5 (now 4) films. No matter how badd it gets. Real curious to your thoughts after seeing this.

We apologize for Mason Quinn's audio during the review. He accidently turned off his mic. You'll see it :)

Format: Watch along

Watched on: Showtime

First watch: All

I was obsessed with Twilight when I was teen 😭🤣🤣 now Im watching this with these guys to lessen the cringe and laugh along with them.

Becky Casey

I’ve stayed subscribed in anticipation for this. I cannot wait to watch!! Unfortunately I have to spend this evening socialising, so I’ll have to catch up tomorrow. Thanks for your sacrifice lads 🫅⭐️

Andrew Hansen

I can't watch it on the principle of the matter lol. I still don't talk to my guy friend who went to see it 3 times in theaters lol jk That there are 5 of these is the most damning fact about our culture right up there with the fact that they made 6 sharknado movies

L AH

The picture, guys please 😂 So excited for this!!

Nakia Smith

I’m so looking forward to this. Thank you for your sacrifice. 😂

Culper (Lukas)

I've never seen these movies. I never felt the need to get into them when they came out... I guess the time come.

Badd Medicine

Much appreciated Becky! Have fun and we'll look forward to any potential comments😁🤙

Jess S.

16 year old me thought this was the epitome of love 🥴🤣 don't worry though, it gets more toxic as it goes on lol

Jenna

the thumbnail is killing me! excited to watch later! 🤣

AyaaChann

I love the thumbnail photoshop. Its absolutely amazing😂

Miss_CJ

Ohhh I can't wait to watch this when I get home! I'll admit, the books are a guilty pleasure of mine but I've always had some reservation with the movies. Something that I will always remember while reading the first book was the description of Forks. A gloomy, humid and rainy little town with not many people. It’s blend, almost without sunshine. Everyone knows each other, what they were doing during weekends, who’s the daughter/son of who, where they live, and whatnot… Bella describes Forks in the first book, like this: "In the Olympic Peninsula of north-west Washington State, a small town named Forks exists under a near-constant cover of clouds. It rains on this inconsequent town more than any other place in the United States of America. It was from this town and its gloomy, omnipresent shade that my mother escaped with me when I was only a few months old." Considering this very important description, I feel like the first movie had the right take on the ambiance. It really did feel gloomy and humid and somewhere most people wouldn’t want to live at. I love the indie approach of the producer. The blue tint makes the place look cold. And the soundtrack is fire. Really can't wait to watch your reaction x)

L AH

Is Answer supposed to be Bella or Jacob ? 😂

Sam Harris

cant believe you watching this of all films, bit of a guilty pleasure of mine these films, i know they are terrible but at same time i love watching them. ill watch your reactions soon

shua

omg lmao can’t wait to watch

Graham F

I have never seen any of these probably for the same reason as anyone. BUT I shall embark with you, so let's see how it goes... hahahhaa I can't believe no no maybe I should not think about it to much and just watch LOL

Allie Drew

I definitely switched back and forth between team eddy and team Jacob, but after the second movie, I have always had a special spot in my heart for Jacob.

Lirryk

I can't believe I'm watching this...I saw the first one and denied the other parts, but I think watching it with u could be fun...I FEEL U ANSWER!!!

Lena

Awesome reaction! I laughed along with you guys! Can't wait for more!

Yenni Huynh

Now once you get through these- please please please watch the Underworld series it’s a LEGITIMATELY GOOD vampire and werewolf world 😂

Jasmin

Oh my, I really waited for this reaction and you didn't disappoint, guys. 😅 These movies are sooo bad it's nearly incomprehensible they made so many of them. And I'm sorry to say, but they're getting worse... So a lot more fun for all of us. 😁 Can't wait for the next one!

Cubonemaker

I half expect you all to give out a battle cry of “FOR THE CONTENT!”, as you charge into this sacrifice 😂

Clara G

Recently Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) made a podcast called Twilight Effect with guest stars like the director, executive producer, costume designer and other behind the scenes cast. Even if you don't enjoy twilight it's interesting insight into everything that goes into making a movie even before filming starts (oh and a lot of people don't know this but initially twilight was a throw away indie movie where even the studio thought no one was going to watch it which explains some of the bad effects)

L AH

I feel like those movies will be the Harry Potter journey that Oak had but for Answer We will have him rocking Team Edward T-shirt by the end of the last movie 👀

Angela Solano

Great reaction. I want to let you in on a few things. Twilight was extremely low budget considering how successful the books were. That does get better. Another thing, you might be relieved to know this director was fired. Just like HP, there is a different director on just about every movie. The book does do a better job of building up their relationship. It feels more 5 to 6 months than three weeks. There were two dances. In the book, the first dance was a ladies' choice. All the guys were trying to get her to ask them. The second dance was the prom. As far as everyone loving Bella, in the book, it doesn't really happen that way. There is a circle of girls, one in particular, that are very jealous of Bella, including Jessica. The guys are all interested in her because it's a small town that rarely gets new people. You are privy to this in the book because Edward hears their thoughts. It is still a silly teen love story, but the movies do get a little better after the first.

Liona N

I cant believe i just watched twilight .You guys crack me up, i haven't laughed so hard at a reaction video in a while.

LisaMarie D

OMG you guys had me laughing my ass off before you hit play!!! Thank you for this. Can't wait for the next one. Fun fact, Rob has a few songs on this soundtrack. He wrote and sang the song playing when he was sucking Bella's blood. He also composed that song he played on the piano. They have a bigger budget for the next movies so they get better lol.

Iran

The first movie is honestly the most cringy.

Miss Timi Fantastico

This is without a doubt my favorite reaction I’ve ever seen. Not just from you guys, period. Few fun facts: Rainier is my go to beer and I didn’t realize until now it’s a Pacific Northwest only thing. It’s cheap and decent. Lol I read these books and watched these movies when they came out and thankfully like many other women my age, watch these as an an adult and are now horrified by our younger selves thinking. This explains a lot about my early twenties though. Lastly, no defense of the age gap, but an interest conversation topic: he stopped aging at 17, which means while he has decades of experience, his brain development has never moved past that of a 17 year old. Can you imagine having the mindset of a 17 year old forever? That’s truly torture. Oh! And thank god as a 36 year old woman I can now say check me off as team Charlie for this film. What a great dad!

diamond frazier

You guys reactions were exactly what I figure was going to be. Because one you are men and 2 you are grown men. If y’all would loved it I would have been completely shocked.I was a fan of this movies when it came out but as I got older I realized how cringy twilight. I’m excited to see y’all reactions to the next movie in my personal opinion it got better. although I never thought about the age difference “thank you Answer for pointing that out“

Nakia Smith

Just finished watching. I had such a good time watching and laughing with you guys. Team Jacob for...reasons.

TheHulsig

Love the reaction! :P i am really into vampire and werewolf movies, i do own all 5 Twilight on dvd XD(33 male), the first movie is bad compared to the other in the series. My Girlfriend at the time hated horror and vampires, so this series was a way to get her to go to the movies with me. I belive that the vampire skin and missing fangs is a way to avoid blood to make it more "teenage girl friendly". Remember one time i belive its was new moon in the theater, jacob takes his shirt of, and the entire row behind me just moan XD. Keep it up guys cant wait for the next one "Twilight: the EMO one" ;)

Kali Howell

I don't know if "the books are better" works for this series; it's all cringe. Funny watching reviews though, and I Am excited to watch them all.

Miss_CJ

Alright, I'm done watching the reaction and I just kept laughing. There's something about 3 grown men watching a teenage romance that I just love. I just wanted to touch on a few things and it might be a long comment but oh well! In the movie, they seem to fall in love very quickly and it is definitely cringe but in the books, they take way more time to learn about each other. Of course there's an interest between them, a curiosity and they start their relationship as friends for a while. Before Bella realizes exactly what Edward is, they have multiple normal conversations. They actually ask each others questions. And even if Edward is still torn between getting closer or not, he still tries to learn about her and vice versa. He knows that she knows he's not a 'normal' teenager so he asks her about her theories and whatnot. In a way, it's to see how close/far she is from the truth, to protect his family, but also because deep down he wants her to know. And it almost transforms it into a little game of clues. Without being that much healthier, it's definitely less creepy and it's also a pretty smooth transition. This is just what I think. The movies aren't great at portraying that. But the books are enjoyable. Here’s a scene in the book that sums up better their relationship in the beginning, which I think is way better than what the movies show, it's more playful rather than awkward: **** ‘’So, as long as I’m being…not smart, we’ll try to be friends?’’ I struggled to sum up the confusing exchange. ‘’That sounds about right’’ I looked down at my hands wrapped around the lemonade bottle, not sure what to do. ‘’What are you thinking?’’ he asked curiously. I looked up into his deep gold eyes, became befuddled, and, as usual, blurted out the truth. ‘’I’m trying to figure out what you are.’’ His jaw tightened, but he kept his smile in place with some effort. ‘’Are you having any luck with that?’’ he asked in an offhand tone. ‘’Not too much’’ , I admitted. He chuckled. ‘’What are your theories?’’ I blushed. I had been vacillating during the last month between Bruce Wayne and Peter Parker. There was no way I was going to own up to that. ‘’Won’t you tell me?’’ he asked, tilting his head to one side with a shockingly tempting smile. I shook my head. ‘’Too embarrassing’’ […….] ‘’Please tell me just one little theory’’ ‘’Um, well, bitten by a radioactive spider?’’ ‘’That’s not very creative’’ , he scoffed. ‘’I’m sorry, that’s all I’ve got’’ I said, miffed. ‘’You’re not even close’’ , he teased. ‘’No spiders?’’ ‘’Nope’’ ‘’And no radioactivity?’’ ‘’None’’ ‘’Dang’’ , I sighed. ‘’Kryptonite doesn’t bother me, either’’ , he chuckled. ‘’You’re not supposed to laugh, remember?’’ He struggled to compose his face. *** Also fun fact, Edward can't read Bella's dad's mind very well. He can but it's hard. And second fact, it was Robert Pattinson singing in the background, when Edward was sucking Bella's blood. Anyway, that was pretty fun to watch again after all those years. I really can't wait to watch the next ones with you guys :P

Veronica

Team Carlisle! Just something to keep in mind, Carlisle's father was actually a priest in the mid-1600s--thus the big cross in the house. His dad hunted vampires; he was convinced they were like demons of the night. Carlisle's mom died giving birth to him, so Carlisle was raised by his dad. He was turned by a vampire from a coven that he was hunting (taking over his dad's business, as his dad got older). Carlisle hid in a cellar and silently endured the transformation. Once he fully understood what happened, he actually tried to kill himself multiple times. Eventually, he discovered he could survive on animal blood, and chose that life, so that he wouldn't cause the murders he saw from the vampires his dad hunted. Then fast-forward to the early 1900s, he met Esme, his wife when she was a teenager. Then some years later he turned Edward. Then some years later he met Esme again. She tried to take her life after losing her first child. Carlisle then turned her and formed the beginning of the Olympic Coven (the Cullens).

Melanie P

To answer a couple of your questions, the first movie had a much lower budget than the rest. Your reactions did not disappoint. I cannot wait to see how you fair through the rest of these. Just keep the same attitude of “what the hell is happening” and laugh all the way through. Loved it. I have a love/hate relationship with these movies and books. I read the books and it was kind of like Oak said “i can’t wait to read the next one cause where are they taking this cluster”. So i binge read all 4 over Christmas break and I enjoyed them but I knew how cringe they were even as I was reading. Also, my dad was basically Charlie. He actually did answer the door for my dates with a gun in hand then proceeded to let my date know that he had a backhoe and hundreds of acres of land. “No one would ever find the body”. My dad even had the same hair and mustache as Charlie. Very nostalgic for me. Now at 37, I’m team Charlie (not for bella cause that’s disgusting but for me), team carlisle (again for me) or most importantly team emmett. He gets robbed in the movies. He wasn’t a huge presence in the books but he was a constant joy and was hilarious. And I identify a bit with Rosalie so I totally get her love for Emmett. I would not recommend reading these unless you were doing audiobooks on a roadtrip. They are wordy. Also, the actors did a nearly perfect job of portraying the characters as they were written. The blue tint on this movie was a bit much even for a blue fanatic like myself. And the vampire white makeup was just bad and cakey. It didn’t look like a professional was doing their makeup. I’m nowhere near professional and I could have done a better job with the vampire makeup. Maybe because i’m so used to my own fluorescent skin tone so I have experience with that tonal range. One more time, I cannot wait to see the rest. I wish I had patience but I don’t. Hurry up!! Great job. Great ratings. Great commentary.

Tyta

I give this reaction 5 answers 🤣🤣🤣

Wattyone1

🚩red flag army. Please watch “vampires suck” and what we do in the shadows both comedy movies about vampires, after you finish this series.

Jala Rhone

The Oak is TOO funny! Can't wait to watch the next movie with you guys!

Melanie M

Haven’t seen the reaction but I really hope y’all didn’t take it too seriously and enjoyed it for what it was. Im so excited! 😂

JuneLove

I remember watching another reactor and he said he was indifferent about it until that stare between Jacob and Edward at the end. That's when he knew he had to watch the rest 😂! I love how you guys had fun with it! It's definitely a guilty pleasure. Also, Charlie is such a sweet character he doesn't deserve all this mess. Looking forward to the next one!

Trose Elizabeth

Fun fact; the scene where Edward is sucking the venom out of Bella's arm, Robert Pattinson's song is playing; his voice and lyrics.

shua

LMAOOO GUYS. i laughed so many times watching this. wasn’t it so weird seeing our boy cedric diggory as a vampire? maybe carlisle turned him after he died in the triwizard tournament HAHA. anyways really nice vid can’t wait for the rest

shua

mason’s review is so funny 😭😭him absolutely loving it while answer disapproves and oak just cracking up during the whole thing 😂😂😂

Brittany McGee

Lmao. I loved this reaction.

Veronica

Alice is also one of my favorite characters. She actually knew James before she became a vampire. He actually tried hunting her, when she was a human--just like Bella. But a vampire turned her to save her from James. She was also institutionalized for being psychic. My favorite part of her story though is that she actually saw Jasper coming. She knew he would meet her in a diner one day, so she made sure she was there to meet him. Imagine knowing that you will meet your soulmate one day? I think that's why her story resonates with a lot of people.

Melanie M

Signed up for patreon for this. Well worth it! Oak’s absolute astonishment with the baseball scene was my favorite (probably bc it was so good) 😂😂

Kat M.

I'm gonna say it... it's not ok for someone to stalk you, sneak in ur room and watch u sleep and unplug ur battery to stop u from going somewhere and tell you what u want is wrong...just because he's hot.

Melanie M

Lol the age gap is the biggest point of conflict in the fandom. So it isn’t a huge deal that Answer said it.

Liliana Alves

my god, i DIED LAUGHING with your reactions!! I am one of those that loved the series when i was young, now i just get headaches recognizing all of the red flags in this! Cant wait for all of the hilarious future reactions lol!

Amanda V

This was phenomenal to watch with you guys! I DIED laughing multiple times. The Answer!!!! "She's presenting herself" i can't!!!!! Straight to jail Answer!!!

Amanda P

So there's a twilight book from Edwards point of view, so when he's just staring at her in the classroom the first time it's because her blood is the most alluring he's ever smelled so basically the entire class he's mapping out in his head how he'd kill her and all the others in the class so there's no witnesses lol it's crazy to read. I don't think they're as horrible as people say, there are definitely worse movies out there in my opinion. I think you may like the other movies, more backstory on characters and more action which is great. My fave part of this whole movie is the ballet studio fight, I always think the part where they crash into the floor was done really well and cool 🤷‍♀️ my boyfriend in high school was more obsessed with it than me haha, he read the books faster than I did. Wish these weren't just once a week lol I need the rest now 🤭 also hoping tenet is the surprise movie this week but guessing not lol

TE

I don’t know if you’re familiar with the YouTube channel “honest trailers” but you absolutely HAVE to watch the honest trailer for twilight. It’s only 2 minutes long and pretty hilarious. It would be incredible if you reacted to it on the channel! Glad you had so much fun with this!

Tealhiid

Ok so I got way too much to say sorry in advance. So a little backstories on characters that you will not get in the movies. Alice: While human, she was hospitalized cause she could predict the weather. She was treated with electroshock and kept in a dark room (reason why she doesn't remember a lot of when she was human). At one point James (yes the blonde dude that attacked Bella) found her and wanted to hunt her, but a vampire changed her before he could (this is the reason why he is so obsessed with getting Bella, he doesn't want to lose again). Carlisle: His father was a vampire hunter, so one night on their hunt he got bitten and since he was a devout Christian he tried to kill himself multiple time. He went as far as starving himself, which didn't work, until he found out he could survive with animal blood. Esme: Was changed by Carlisle when she jumped from a cliff after her child died. She is a homebody and is absolutely content just caring about her kids. Emmett: He was mauled by a bear and Rosalie found him. She carried him miles (with him bleeding out on her) to Carlisle to change him. She managed to not kill him and they've been together ever since. Fun fact: For the cover story, Rosalie and Jasper have been introduced has twins who technically do not have the same surname as everyone else. They are both surnamed Hale. Other backstories will be explained. Now for the movie in Edward's perspective. 1. In the class, he was trying to find a way to kill Bella and everyone else in the class to not leave witnesses. He even thought of doing it after school, so to stop himself he left to go to Alaska where he ate a lot before coming back. 2. Edward was actually in her room at night. He justified it by saying that he was making sure that nothing was harming her (like a spider for example). 3. A lot of the what Edward was dealing with was the fact that Alice told him if he left Bella, she died, if he stayed, she also died. So he flip-flopped a lot. 4. There was a fast and furious bit that we did not get to see because we see the movie from Bella's perspective. It was when they where trying to get to Bella while she was with James. 5. Finally, Edward told Bella that he was staying with her, but he was intending on leaving her because he felt like she would be better of without him. Another fun fact: Edward can't read Bella's mind and he has difficulty reading Charlie's mind (which is probably where Bella got her immunity from). However, he has no problem reading Renée's mind. In fact, Renée has the ability to think something and make people want to do it. So in the hospital she was searching for where Bella's room was and was asking for help in her head and the nurse came to her to help her and felt compelled to help her. (Makes it funny, because they are a whole family of people with power over the mind.) Btw, we all know about the age thing, we just got over it cause nothing you can do. Weirder things are coming! Also the apple kick thing is in reference to the book cover. Last thing, I love the twilight series (more the books than the movies, although the last movies is my favorite one of all the mediums) more so because of the lore and the world building. It makes me wish that there were more books about the rest of the twilight world. Edit: Forgot to say, team Edward because Stephanie tried so hard to destroy Jacob and she SUCCEEDED!

Tealhiid

Stephanie made him do too much for me to be on his team.

AJ

This reaction was fantastic! My face and stomach hurt from laughing so much. The way you guys are watching the movie by just laughing through it and pointing out all the ridiculous details is really the most enjoyable way to watch. During quarantine, my best friend and I would marathon these movies and make drinking games out of them and it really is one of the best ways to rewatch them. Loved the reaction, can't wait for the rest of the movies!

JuneLove

also mason lowkey enjoying it 👀😩 it’s okay we’re enjoying it too

L AH

Also, there is a cameo of the author in the diner scene, where the waitress said "here's for you Stephanie" and there is a dark haired woman sitting at the bar with a computer !

ParkMinJeon

Please tell me you guys are gonna react to the second movie soon 😭😭

Milly

this is the best thing I've seen in a really long time :')

Саша Одинец

Movie might not have as much time to explain these things, but the age difference - never really was a problem to me in this story. I think, it's way too easy to jump at the numbers without understanding the specifics of the characters and their relationships. Even the entire "teenage romance" "teenage girls" part of the discussion is just a continuation of this number topic. Personally - I'm no girl, nor I am a teenager, but I love this story. If anything - stories simply could be enjoyed and appreciated for different reasons at different age, instead of being stuck at "targets teenagers". So back to the topic - one of the reasons Bella and Edward connect so much, is because she's a person of different values and priorities than an average person her age would be. I should say that my knowledge is mostly rewritten by the original books at this point, so it's hard for me to say how much of it is visible in the movie, but Bella - she's the one to fulfill the role of mother in her family. She had to grow up fast to be the responsible one in the house, she literally sacrificed her own comfort to let her mother out with her new husband (one to take care of her mother instead of her now) as a parent would to a child. And then began looking after her father. She doesn't really fit in with others her age, even though she can establish communication with them without a problem - meaning it's not that she's antisocial, but she's just different. She doesn't share the "fun" with them - doesn't dance, or swim, when her friends tried new dresses, she literally sat at opposite side of the screen, planning to go into the bookshop. If anything, Bella and Edward are like two old souls that unexpectedly found each other in young bodies and connected, and for the first time in forever - began to seek personal happiness instead of what's best for others. Which in turn creates a ton of conflicts for them, both physical and moral, and that's also interesting to observe. And so is the reactions :) It was a lot of fun watching this video, hope you'll enjoy the future movies :)

Dio Legrand

Hahaha this thumbnail! I just snorted so hard that cereal came out of my nose! When I was a kid, I didn't notice the age gap between Edward & Bella, but as an adult woman now I find it odd. He's lived for decades, matured, and sees things as an adult does. Bella is not "mature for her age" she's a depressed kid. There are many aspects of this series that can be damaging to young kids, girls especially. There's actually a therapist that reacted to the films which also confirmed my own theories. Personally, I'm excited for you guys to cringe at these films haha! Fun fact, the series 50 Shades of Grey was inspired by Twilight, which is why it's also toxic.

Kristin Carter

I'm 36, so I was a senior in college when this first movie came out. I didn't really have any preconceptions about it since I hadn't read the books, unlike Harry Potter. I ended up going to see each one in theaters with a couple of friends or my mom. It was a *completely* different experience than seeing HP. With each HP movie, my stomach was all tied up in knots - what parts of the book will they include, what will they leave out, will they introduce this character, what will they look like. With Twilight, it was just pure fun. This first movie is still such a vibe. The whole aesthetic of it, the raininess, the way everything is in green/blue hues, the soundtrack. It's very nostalgic for me, brings me right back to that last year of college and right after graduation.

Miss_CJ

Team Edward as well. I really didn't like what she did to Jacob in the end.

Teaghan Doyle

Dying at this, amazing reaction. And yes its so bad and cringy but you have to love it. I think you will like the next movies more though.

Tealhiid

And the fact that Edward is stuck with the mind of a 17 year old (meaning his frontal lobe never fully developed) helped me get over the age difference. I mean if you think about it, Edward never matured. He spent his life just going to high-school and university, reading people's mind that aren't fully mature. Yes he's lived a long time but he is still just a teenage boy who never had to grow up.

Hailey

I will say as an og twihard, the only reason this saga is completed is that we were mostly teenage girls blinded by handsome men and the forbidden love trope. These movies are horrible to me now but they were my life back then lol Thank you for your sacrifices good sirs

Miss_CJ

Same! The age difference never really bothered me because I've never seen him as more than 17, even if he was 117. To me, it was like he was frozen in time. I feel like people who try to think about the "age gap" logically are missing the point that it's fiction, and if the author decides that her vampires just stop growing after getting bitten (albeit continuing to gain knowledge over the decades/centuries) they still are the same age they were when they transform. Oh and if you really think about it, just because he's lived 117 years, should that mean he has to date someone older than him? In this case, doesn't it look bad for him as well to be with a full grown adult while he looks like a teenager? Should that means he can't be with anyone ever? It's literally a conundrum.

Miss_CJ

Oh and if I may add, you guys think Edward's dated many many girls in the past but it's definitely wrong. He hasn't even gotten close to dating a human before as he thinks of himself as a monster. Pretty sure he even never really been with other vampires in the past either. So Bella is even more of an enigma to him as he feels something for someone for the first time. The situation is dangerous but he can't help himself but getting close to Bella.

Caroline Price

Def a series to read first and then watch. Absolutely loved every moment of you watching this. Spot on with reviews as always

Tealhiid

See I never thought about that, but then again the argument could be made that he can find himself a vampire that was also turned in her teenage years. But what I want to discuss is if people find the Bella and Edward age gap weird, what do they think of Tanya wanting to be with Edward. I mean she is significantly older than him in immortal age and in body age. So would that be ok because she is also a vampire? Or would people would still be this outraged? Not to mention that now the roles are reversed, so would people call it out since now it's the girl that is older?

Tealhiid

So Edward is a virgin I'm every sense of the word. He has never been with anyone since he is the marriage first type of guy and since he is not currently married... Also he never really felt attracted to people because he could read their minds and that made him jaded to the whole relationship concept. For example, when Carlisle turned Rosalie he hoped that she and Edward would get together, but he didn't like her because he found her vain (she thinks she's more beautiful than everyone including every vampire). Because of that Rosalie and Edward have a love hate relationship, because even tho she doesn't like him she is still vexed that he doesn't like her. This is also a part of why she doesn't like Bella cause she doesn't understand how Edward could pick her over her. So a part of why Edward is so interested in Bella is that he can't read her mind, thus can't figure her out and he's curious. Another part that is not so much explained in the movies is that vampires mate for life. It is similar to wolves in the way that they won't change partner in their lifetime. So when the partner dies they either try to take revenge or follow the partner in death. This is why there is a lot of I would die if you die talk in this franchise.

Ginger

Tell Oak that in the next movie, the actor who plays Caius is the same guy that plays Vecna in Stranger Things. 😁 I definitely enjoyed watching you guys react more than I enjoyed the movie. 👍🏻

Angelina

This was entertaining as heck watching this with y’all 😆 I was the odd one out & disliked this whole franchise when I was in high school / when the books & movies were super popular. I barely got through the 1st book and never read the others. The fact that it was 1st person POV & Bella’s inner thoughts were annoying made my interest plummet 😆 This was absolutely a blast & very fun re-watching with y’all! Oak’s small gasp at her calling him a vampire was HILARIOUS & just how much y’all were laughing and having a good time 🤘

Yenni Huynh

Yes! I just have such a love for underworld cuz it’s both werewolves and vamps and you can’t beat Kate Beckinsale in that skin tight suit 😂

Badd Medicine

Hahaha glad you enjoyed. This was a lot of fun. Really looking forward to the next ones.

Angelina

“He’s *big* mad” 🤣

Ginger

Yep! Caius is one of the three ancient leaders of the Volturi in Italy.

Kristin Carter

He also plays young Grindelwald in Harry Potter. And he used to be engaged to the actress that plays Ginny.

Саша Одинец

I believe, half the time people see this age difference as something negative in this story - they don't view it with characters in mind, but with associations that are attached to these numbers (whether they are aware of it, or it's subconscious) - like "she's 17, he's 117" -> *image of generic immature innocent teen* + *image of an old man behaving out of his age*. When one looks at it like that - naturally it brings the negative connotation. But that is simply inaccurate to the situation. Bella isn't a stereotype of lightheaded teen, she's literally the opposite - fast to grow up responsible one in the family. Edward isn't an old man trying to act out of his age - he's a mystical creature that is young in the body, who never needed to adjust his mindset to the number of his birthdays, but opposite - for decades had to make himself act like a person the age he looks as. No wonder they bonded when found out more about each other :)

Excited to watch this. I am not the biggest Twilight fan but I'm super excited for your reaction because I know even if the movies aren't my cup of tea necessarily, I know your energies and commentary will be top notch!

Tealhiid

I agree! Knowing the inner details helps patch so much together that the movie didn't do a good job of relaying. And to be honest I feel like we miss so much not having had Edward's perspective earlier because it changed a lot of things for me.

Tealhiid

The way you put it is spot on. It's litteraly 2 old souls in "young" bodies. One is litteraly forced to stay young, in mind and body, and the other one was forced to age faster than her body. It's incredible how people ignore the fact that Bella is probably more mature than Edward. Edward is all about using his ability to protect his family, while simultaneously not wanting to be too close to his family and people, because 1 he thinks of himself as a monster and 2 he wants a respite from hearing people's thought. So in a sense Edward learned to mature along side of Bella, who was more mature, but not necessarily better at decision making.

You'll get to see a lot more Jacob in the next movie.

Animalsareangels 94

And I do like to think that they get a little bit better as they go on.

Staypuft

i’ve watched these movies EASILY 20x. and no, i actually do enjoy watching by myself. these books had me in a chokehold in junior high so i love these movies simply for that reason. but i promise the movies overall get better than this first one. bc this movie is just so awkward. they stay super cheesy but the actual movie itself gets better as time goes on. CGI gets way better. ALSO I WILL ALWAYS BE TEAM JACOB. i have actually never once been team edward. even first in the books

Here's the thing with the Twilight Saga, at the time it was cool and we all loved it, then a couple of years went by and we all grew up a little bit and were like "Ew, Twilight, that's so bad!" but now we're at the point where we've grown up even more and we look back on it with nostalgia and cringe at how much we loved it. We started out loving it and taking it seriously but now we're here laughing at the absurdity 😂

Darren Armstrong

All I’ll say is try not to listen too much to some of the crowd who thinks it’s cool to hate on the franchise. It was massively popular for a reason. Just…give all the movies a fair go. I liked them all

ThunderBeast

Can’t remember the last time I laughed this much watching this movie 😂 amazing reactions all around! One of my favorite things about this movie is the scene where Edward is cleaning Bella’s blood, the song playing in the background “Let me sign” was performed by Rob himself, made me appreciate his skill all the more. Can’t wait to see the reaction to New Moon, bet it’s going to be priceless! 🤣

yumeio

im new to patreon can anyone explain why we can’t see the actual movie along side with them instead of just listening to them talk about the movie ? i thought we would be able to see the movie/hear it with them fully

Hello! Yes, I can answer that. We do have labeled in the tier and before the majority of the videos that this is a watch along format. You will need a copy to sync with us. Reason being, copyright laws. We do not own the property and we definitely don't have the money (unfortunately)to purchase the rights to distribute 😂. With fair use, you are only allowed a limited amount of time. If a studio were to find out that we didn't follow the law, they can take us to court and pretty much win and shut everything we worked incredibly hard for down. Hope that clears it up. If you need a refund let us know.

No one criticizes this franchise more than us fans. We may love it but we know it's trash 😂

Christine L.

It has become a cult classic. They even have screenings like Rocky Horror Picture Show where the audience dress up in costumes and shout the movie lines.

Christine L.

I was surprised 😅 I expected Answer to be the one on board with this and Oak to be the apprehensive one 😂

yumeio

hi it’s okay no refund is necessary! it definitely was my fault for not paying attention , i kinda just went straight to the video skipping a bit for your reaction that i didn’t pay to much attention on you saying about the syncing ! and since i went straight to patreon without nothing nothing about patreon when i saw “labeled” “watch along” i pretty much ignored it while subscribing , my apologies ! i’ll watch your reaction while syncing the movie though .

Garret, the patriot, was one of my favorite characters in the book. One of the reasons the volturi have been able to remain in power besides their offensive abilities, is that they hide how unjust they are to the whole vampire world. They bring the guard and specifically witnesses so that they can say they were just in killing while hiding how manipulative they are. Garret does this awesome speech and calls them out on it.
