Its funny to me how the family have selective memory over current events. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Tommy was shot by Billy Kilmer season 1. He was beaten and cut by Sabini and nearly executed by Campbell in season 2. He was nearly beaten to death and had crushed skull in season 3 thanks to Polly. In all of those instances, none of the family gave a shit at least on camera. Tommy never held any of his attacks over them or punished them for it even when he lost his wife because of John. Here we are again paying for John's recklessness. If John would've left like Arthur told him too, neither he nor Michael would've gotten shot. Its like if Tommy says so its an automatic no. They cannot hear it because the messenger is Tommy. Despite all of that, Tommy is still there trying to bring the family back together regardless of current events. Everyone had free agency when it came to Churchill's plan even though they were all blackmailed regardless. They all blame Tommy for what everyone with half a brain had to know was going to go down anyway. Tommy always thinks three steps ahead and takes the short term loss vs long term gain no matter the consequence. If half of them thought like he did, I mean Polly used to until incarceration then maybe you'd show Tommy some grace. But I guess that is too much for them past their purview. Its a shame. Peaky Blinders are stronger together than apart. I miss the old Polly and hope she comes back. No spoilers but if I were Luca I'd keep the petal to the metal and keep coming at them while they are off balance. Can't wait to see your next reaction! I said seasons 3 and 4 were my favorites. Get ready for a ride!

agree completely. he also bares his heart in that raw speech ("you've given me your hearts, and your souls - and for what..... those bastards are worse than us") because he knows he had only one way to save all of them. His voice catches for all the grief and loss but also because of what is about to happen. And that they might not understand that he *had to keep them there because Moss couldn't control if they all ran and scattered - and that would risk all of their lives.
