By the way, we had to wait months for season 4 part 2 ep 76 because they took a break at the halfway point of the season. So that means we didnt know what happened to levi for months after the thunder spear blew up

The recap was just there for filler so they could end on a cliffhanger, this happens a lot in anime battles so they don’t rush or stretch fights. It’s the only up side to anime recaps, (when done right). It’s sometimes needed for pacing, especially when it’s not an anime that relies on non-manga content as filler.

Lmfao I agree with Quinn. I remember watching this almost 3 years ago and thinking to myself tf is going on? When are they going to show new content? Waiting a whole week just for the episode to be half recap. Only time I felt that with AOT, but I guess thats how they had to disposition the manga chapters to make the story flow together.

Yeah, the recap certainly feels like it took longer but part of the reason they do recaps in the first place is to pad out the time so that they can have the episode break in the right space. Like when ya'll watch the first episode next week, just pause like a minute or two in and imagine that's where the last episode ended. It isn't nearly as satisfying. Anime as a medium is pretty much always working off of a pre-existing story from the manga, or Japanese comic book. Those have different breaks in the story because what takes 20 pages to animate, thus making a whole manga volume or book, can be covered in 5 minutes or so on screen. So each episode is usually a combination of multiple volumes, and they need to be paced out correctly otherwise you get really weird and unsatisfying episode endings.

Yeah the recap stuff does annoy me a bit but I also binged certain storylines so that helped a lot. Makes sense you'd be frustrated with only 2 a week. But loving the passion from you guys and this show will get you fired up!

Quinn, when I first watched these episodes I actually believed Armin's words, he made sense to something I was in disbelief, that Eren would hurt both his best friends that easily a few eps ago. Now the interesting part is what you mentioned, when Eren and Zeke come in contact are we gonna have the rumbling? the euthanization plan? Either way our guys Armin, Mikasa, Jean and Connie are going to help them come in contact and hope for the best, those were my thoughts when I first watched these episodes. This week is gonna be so long, I can't wait for next Monday!!

I'm with everyone else, episodes 19-21 should be watched together as a trilogy! And since season 4 contains an even number of episodes (28, not including the last 2 specials), I also think episodes 26-28 make a nice trilogy as well! Who else agrees? 10/7: 4x19 - 4x21 10/14: 4x22 - 4x23 10/21: 4x24 - 4x25 10/28: 4x26 - 4x28

I agree that it's 100% up to them how they choose to space it out. And there's no wrong way of watching. All I was saying was if they choose to watch 4x19 - 4x21 next week, then I think it makes sense to watch another trilogy of episodes (4x26 - 4x28) so that they aren't left with one 20-minute episode remaining. Or, they could pair the final episode with the 2 remaining OVAs and release that.

Some of it was recap, some was extra dialogue. It was only 5 mins of recap, not too bad. Can help you remember a few points as well from a past episode, esp with a week long gap.

We had to wait MONTHSSSS after Eren was looking at Marley airships coming in & when Levi first blew up the spear. Safe to say it was HARD waiting for what would happen next!! Also, like everyone else is saying, pleaseeeee do Episode 78, 79, 80 in one sitting. You will NOT regret it!!!! The most insane plot you will experience! Dare I say, PEAK FICTION!

Mason Quinn, if you aren't a fan of the recap in this episode I would highly recommend waiting to watch One Piece until it's been adapted by WIT Studios as The One Piece. The current adaptation by Toei is very padded being that it was being released along side the original material.

I too hate recaps, but I think it's a necessary evil, because they wanted the next few episodes to line up juuust right with what part of the story they cover. If this episode had 5 more minutes of new stuff, the next episode would be the worse for it. Since this is adapted from a comic, they don't have the typical leeway of writing around an episodic format.

Between episode 16 and 17, there's was almost a year gap as that was split between part 1 and 2 of season 4, and then a few months between the last episode of this season and the final chapters movies. It was dredd. The next episodes will BLOW YOUR MIND* 😊

I´m so glad you finally get to experience the new intro ! :D It´s one of my two favourite and it is the fave for a lot of fans, understandably so. I would totally recommend you listen to the full song (the intro version is a bit shorter) and with subtitles to follow the lyrics better, cause the lyrics imo are so perfectly made for the show! X3 The Levi suspension is real, but never as real as when you were following the manga up to date. Manga-readers like myself had to wait a month for a chapter to appear... and it was many chapters between the Zeke and Levi blow up and the moment we actually knew what has happened to Levi. It must have been nearly half a year between the chapters? Not certain there but it was multiple chapters so it´s been months XI I still feel for you and am relieved you will not have to wait THAT long though :D As always it is a joy watching you react and seeing you still be invested and having fun is great! Can´t wait for the next ones and even more can´t wait for the finale and how you´ll react to the wrap up (definitely gotta watch the last episode until the very end of the video X3 ) See ya sometime next week! :)

It was explained before that the the rumbling is waking up the 1000’s of colossal titans within the walls. Eren is just screaming. Have patience and faith. Plus i just a reminder that the rumbling needs to start by the founder titan making physical contact with someone of royal blood

Shes just a child… and no one really taught her different until she had to face reality, only after making mistakes that pushed her further into guilt and resentment.

I'm a hardcore One Piece fan but I agree that Toei F* up the pacing BIG TIME for Oda. They really messed up so much from the original work it's not even funny. I also suggest they wait for the remake... Not to mention that the manga is currently at chapter 1,127 so you can imagine how long it's going to take them to catch up by watching the anime. 😂

I agree that the "weeb army" has set the bar very high for the next episodes which I don't support but I disagree that they shouldn't be watched together if possible. The boys have a schedule of course, but I believe that they have made exceptions before when releasing the OVA's alongside the main series, which may have been scheduled a while back but hey, let people shoot their shot. I wholeheartedly believe that the boys and their followers won't regret the addition of one more episode for next week's release, if not that is okay, people will still tune in for future reactions.

HAHA laughed at the weeb army part. For sure they are being selfish. I think a good compromise would be for BM to watch all 3 in one sitting, but still release it 2 weekly, that way the schedule remains but they would experience the 'trilogy' the way some wanted.

It's one week it doesn't ruin the experience. if it did everyone who watched this with the years in between release wouldn't have still loved the show.
