If it's plot-related things that you're so pressed about (i.e. them misunderstanding that Mikasa was aware of Eren's death), chill out. Misunderstandings happen all the time when consuming new media, especially if it's your first time following subtitles with a plot and lore heavy anime. It's their first time with an entirely different language, processing what the subtitles are saying, AND also taking in the animation and action. There were times when I got lost with this show as my first anime because of learning how to watch with the subtitles, it happens. That, and the next time they hit play they'll pretty quickly realize things they missed or misinterpreted. Relax, it's an anime. It's not that deep.

We know Crunchyroll didn't make AOT. We are fully aware it's anime streaming service. This was recommended more so than Hulu which we were told also had bad subtitles.

Thanks for replying! No I appreciate you guys a ton you guys are my favorite reactors and this is my favorite show, I’ve been following you guys since the Lord of the Rings reactions. I definitely know you guys know Crunchyroll didn’t make it AOT I was mainly referring to the other patrons. And I just didn’t want you guys to loose respect for some of the characters like Mikasa with some of the waterdowned dialogue and innuendos they’ll throw in here on Crunchyroll that’s not in the original dialogue I think Oak caught one a few episodes back. When Mikasa runs into Eren again she says on Crunchyroll “ did they investigate every square inch of your body?” And on Hulu it says “did they examine you all over? Or psychologically torture you?” But I’m happy with whatever you guys choose I’m amazed and appreciate the hell out of you guys for going over the top to accomadate us and going with the majority! 👍 I was mainly posting that comment to let the other patrons know because I think a lot of us aware there’s good and bad translations out there and we just assumed Crunchyroll had the best ones and would be closes to the source material.

I just wanted to thank you again for replying, and let you guys know how much I appreciate you guys. And appreciate and am amazed at how you guys go over the top to accommodate, and participate with us. A part from that you guys encourage me a lot! And the comment before I just wanted to let the other patrons know, and thought you guys deserved to know about the other dialogue. I didn’t think the hulu a few name misspellings was worth the waterdowned dialogue/innuendos with crunchy. But that was the only point I wanted to make. Mikasa said "Did they investigate every square inch of your body? Or psychological torture?" on Crunchyroll. Same goes for Erwin's question - he says "Sorry that was a strange thing to ask" afterwards. Are you intentionally leaving out the full quotes? Crunchyroll is actually pretty spot on when it comes to subtitles for AoT. Some words in Japanese have multiple potential translations, which will differ when they're said alone, like with Sasha's insults. No one is going to think less of any of the characters because of what you deem "watered down dialogue". Hulu doesn't have great translations at any rate.
