The amount of times i kept refreshing for the upload was intense. My excitement cannot be contained!!!!!!!

KamiGema

Answer has stated this before, but the Composer that you all keep raving about each episode is, Hiroyuki Sawano. This man is a brilliant music director and a few people have jokingly called him “Japanese Hans Zimmer”. He has a phenomenal talent for music and if you love OST/Soundtrack music, none of his compositions miss

Sean Carroll

Still got 2 more seasons with him, doesn’t it change to another guy in season 4 (forgot the name)

KamiGema

I believe so yes, but they still use some of the older ost songs in S4. However, I believe you are correct. I’ll have to search up the man’s name but he is also a good composer

Ashtail Foxclaw

Do you guys ha e any favourite characters yet? My top 5 is Eren, Erwin, Armin, Jean and Reiner :D

Jess

Oh gosh, yeah Answer brought up something I haven't thought about in awhile. I remember back in the day when the regular season for TV started in the fall and then you had that summer to watch re-runs to prepare for the new season. I miss old TV scheduling sometimes. Another great discussion, guys!

L AH

Omg man, you guys need to up the number of episodes per week, we’re stopping the episodes in the middle of the action, how can you guys resist watching more 😂 Anyways, these two episodes start a great arc for this season, can’t wait for you guys to see the rest Also, as many have said, please look away when the opening is playing. This one is ok but the ones for the following seasons spoil A LOT of plot

Blue

some info in case y'all missed it: what armin was yelling at the female titan in the last ep when jean was about to die was to make it think it might've killed eren by accident "avenge that suicidal idiot! (meaning eren) it crushed my best friend I saw his body under its foot" the female titan is after eren so that made it stop. what armin also yelled mentioned that eren was in the right flank, which had been overrun with titans, further trying to confuse the female titan and buy jean some time to escape.

Ivan Rasmussen

I forgot about the horse punt. That was brutal lol

wanira 11

Reiner's "Gotta marry her" never fails to make me laugh

Sandi

Just so you guys know, there are no writers for this anime. It’s based off a manga written by one person. The authors name is hajime Isayama

Ushna Seeam

My top 3 are: (i) Eren by far, then (ii) Levi and (iii) Jean. Honourable mentions for Hange and Erwin too!

Commissar_sushi

love to hear how you guys would react to being in there situation

2024-04-12 00:45:02 The more you watch, the more questions you will get. BUT you WILL get answers to every question, guaranteed. I bet my money that you will want to rewatch it after you finish it several times. It's like a mega complicated puzzle where literally every piece has it's own place. Though I have to say the resolution and the mystery behind the plot is probably beyond your imagination as of right now. So yeah, buckle up this episode only grazed the surface.

2024-04-12 00:45:02 By the way as a person who watched this show for almost 10 years, it was CRAZY when it was airing. Theories were getting more complex and ridiculous as each episode went by, only to get spoiled by manga readers who knew everything ahead :D Though, The way people treated this show when it first came out was borderline insulting. No one took it seriously. People liked it , enjoyed it, but didn't give enough attention to the mystery and details that layed right in front of their eyes. Which is funny compared to how now viewers worship this masterpiece and recommend everyone to watch it. I remember in the first season there were a lot of seeming weird moments that viewers would pick apart and call 'plot holes' only to be proved wrong as the years went by.

Jessica Tisdale

Please do three episodes a week. How are y’all not dying from suspense?

Ewi

Watched one or max 2 seasons of AoT years ago and forgot where I left of so I never watched the rest. It has been a blast re-watching with you guys and subscribed to the Patreon just for this. Hopefully now I'll watch the rest of it and also hope to see some more anime reactions from you guys (though ofcourse I've loved many of the movie reactions on youtube too). <3

Joaquin garcia

please dont deny or confirm any theories of them

Maren Trümper

On the whole "waiting for the next season" thing...Anime-watchers tend to be experts at this xD I'm currently watching the now running 3rd season of an Anime where the first season came out in 2011... and I also watched that as it was first running, so waiting for a new season of anything is really not a problem for me anymore :,)

calum1

New fallout trailer boys if yall are interested

Roland Holmes

how are you guys managing to watch only 2 episodes a week!

Badd Medicine

We have day jobs, we have families, we have 5 other shows/movies and 3 to 4 gaming items for the gaming channel. Time is very tight 😂😁🤙

Roland Holmes

Completely understand! I only mean because of the cliffhangers, it’s a very binge-able show. Loving the reactions!

L Jeans

"Writers" at Wit story board the episodes and adapt dialogue. so their are Writers, they just decided how to adapt existing material which is a challenge.

krai

Arman my man

Carbon

The story is based on the manga but since not all of it is translated 1 to 1, you need the writers to do the storyboards and scripts. They have to make sure it fits the alloted air time too. They also get to decide how to do the cliffhangers :D. There are directors too who will have a say too. Unlike the manga, there are so much more that goes into this. VAs, music, etc. The writer for this episode is Hiroshi Seko, btw. He's one of the writers for JJK 0.

krai

I was definitely one of those who didn't care about AoT when it came out. Mainly because I was still a die hard Sword Art Online fan during that time. Then my classmates made me watch till the classic "I thought Eren was the protagonist!" episode, I was hooked.

Feli Moon

After you finished season 1 you should totally watch the two OVAs with Levi's backstory. 'No regrets' part 1 and 2. I just rewatched it and for me these are one of the best episodes of AOT.

Andrew F

I highly recommend doing the last 3 episodes together Either that or 21 - 23

GooseToes

Me too lol did it happen to be blue exorcist or devil is a part timer that you're watching? I was shocked that those two got a continuation after so long (definitely not complaing though lmao)

Jasmin Ridgeway

Genuinely can’t wait to see you guys react to the rest of the show and especially the final scene of season 1 in the post credits!!

Sean Carroll

if we showed them a summary of what would happen in the finale episode their minds would probably explode, so yeah they are too short into it for the main shit not to be beyond their imagination

Sean Carroll

the best of this show is beyond what you had reached in your initial watchthrough. Dont give up this time because it is unbelievable

Sean Carroll

yeah because its an odd number to end on they need to do either 1 or 3 unless they fit in an ova alongside the season finale

Sean Carroll

dont forget season 1 finale has an end credits scene, so dont turn it off when you see the ending song start

Conor Moriarty

@diamond dave, idk what comments you read at the end of the ep but I feel like there could be spoilers in there for the future. would porbably advise against it

Maren Trümper

Oh hi~ I'm watching Blue Exorcist, but since I apparently simply missed devil is a part timer getting a new season I'll have to look into that as well! And yeah, no complaints here either, just confusion when I heard about a new season :D

Opera Baritone

Re: cliffhangers - I affectionately call this show, "Blue Balls: the anime" 🤣

Kel

Answer, as someone who was obsessed with Smallville while it was airing, I feel your pain. Those season enders were brutal!

Kel

Agreed. I didn’t come to love the show until season 3, and didn’t realize the genius of it until season 4. Those who stop halfway through are missing out!

Kel

I’m glad you’re getting back into it! You have no idea what’s in store.

Artem Dmytrenko

Love your impression of titans :D

TinCan Cosmanaut

Pat mcafee! I understood that reference! Female titan sure can punt

hex1c

I feel like The Oak has the same expression as Levi many times hahaha :P

Chi L

Loving the reaction and your group’s interaction! Please let us know your favourite character by the end of the season and as the series progresses.

2024-04-12 00:45:02 Just a friendly reminder ( even though others have said it too ) but please don’t forget to watch these specific OVA’s after you watch Episode 1 of season 2. So watch the. S1 finale episode & S2 episode 1 together ( since you guys normally watch 2 episodes a week ). For the next two episodes, instead of going on to watch episode 2 ( 27 ) of S2, watch the No regrets OVA’s. There’s 2 episodes for the No regrets saga. You can find them on Crunchyroll & under the OAD episodes. You don’t have to watch all 8 episodes, only the ones I’m listing for now. Then after that, watch the OVA called ‘Ilse’s Notebook’ & then go back to watching S2. So the order should go like this: - AOTS1 finale episode 25 - AOT S2 episode 1 ( 26 ) - No regrets part 1 & 2 ( OVA’s ) - Ilse’s Notebook ( OVA ) - AOT S2 episodes 2-12 ( 27-37 ) Why include some of the OVA’s to the watch list ? Cause they are important for the world building & lore. It’s just adds more context to the overall story & you have a better experience. Please they are very much worth it ( Warning: Make sure you guys do not watch the ‘Ilse’s Notebook’ OVA before starting s2. It must be watched after the first episode due to stuff that can spoil you guys. The ‘No regrets’ OVA’s on the other hand are safe to watch after S1 finale, no spoilers in these episodes. Though since you guys are doing 2 episodes a week, you need to do them together. So it’s best to watch them after s2 episode 1 )

Angel

Think of the show as one very long movie instead of an EP by ep series and you'll get a feel for the overall theme bc a lot of mysteries will not be answered right away

Katryna Lavin

*caved and bought their Patreon to binge the AOT reactions* … *over binged and ran out of episodes* /;

Sandi

Just a note on some name pronounciations - JEAN is pronounced like JOHN not JEEN and it's ARMIN not ARMON. :)

Jake Gering

I can't believe it's already been 18 episodes.

Sydney

so excited bc ik they are going to wanna rewatch the series knowing everything

Sydney

also guys make sure you actually watch the intros just like you did the first one lol

Marbelis

Listen guys this is important: when you finish season 1 go react to attack on titan in 9 min by gigguk in youtube. Trust me you guys are going to be in for a laugh.

J Knight

You guys are horrible at not being spoiler-y omg 😭

Sammy

HELP PLS: I subbed today and was kinda baffled about the 'Watch Along Format' ... I didn't get it? I wanna watch their reactions and the content on the same screen (like the YT content but uncut)... How are you all watching their videos? Thx for helping me out

Badd Medicine

As we mention in the tier and description, it's because of copyright laws. All full length reactions are blurred but have a few spots open for syncing.

Bronson

It will be easier if you watch on pc. I open up 2 windows with them on full screen and crunchyroll minimized so it fits in the frame of them reacting to it. Or you can have them on your phone and have aot on your tv.

Bronson

Or if your on a tablet you can try and split screen

Enchiladas

Nah I don't think they'd find it funny. There's a lot of inside jokes from many other different anime that they wouldn't get. I think the abridged video from TeamFourStar would be funnier to watch

MJK

I am honestly sad about some of the comments You are getting (Especially from some YT cuts). I was hoping for a better representation of the anime fans, but in the end, some proved to be immature, emotional, and very dramatic. There is a difference between being passionate and being overly intense and rude. Then, the same people are surprised that some reactors avoid doing anime altogether. Really, no offense to anyone, but let's just chill a bit more and let them breathe. Guys! You are doing a fantastic job! We very much appreciate your hard work. Please do not care about some of the rude comments. Most of us are emotionally stable and nice, I swear :D Peace and love to everyone ^^

Conor Moriarty

Definitely comes with the territory, but I’m sure the positive level headed comments balance out the dinguses of the workd

Caleb Hill

You have to have your own copy of the show- I'm using CrunchyRoll since that's what Badd Medicine is using, which makes it easier to sync. When they are starting, a countdown appears on the screen, and when it hits zero, you hit play on your copy just as they hit play on theirs. Then you get the episode playing in sync with the full reaction. Unfortunately its the best option available to comply with copyright law. I put them on one screen, adjusting the window size so that half the screen is the episode and the other half is the reaction. Good luck!

MJK

That is true, but they are beginners when it comes to anime so it is shameful they experience insanity of some fans. I am sure it is stressful for them and they might not take another anime in the future...I can already see them "soften" their opinions / comments and make disclaimers, which is a bit embarrassing for us. Do fans want a raw reaction, even if it is negative, or an artificial one? Not everyone will fall on their knees and worship everything about anime You love - and that is coming from a huge AoT fan. It is just sad :(

2024-04-12 00:45:02 Unfortunately that’s the reality when it comes to popular anime, especially now that anime is bigger and more widespread these days. Also considering AOT is one of the biggest anime, the fandom is sadly loaded with toxic individuals. Some of the worst too, I mean some of them really had the audacity to send 💀 threats to Isayama a few years back with he was just finishing up the manga. It’s best just to not give them attention that they’re seeking cause the minute you do, they will continue to hassle you

I almost completely agree! Well said, but I wouldn't said that AoT fans in particular are the worse. Every big/popular anime fandom have those rotten insane people. Recently I saw OP fans mocking Toriyama's death... so yeah bad ones are everywhere:( Ahh I miss those days where watching anime was creepy and weird and noone openly admitted to it. Once you found someone who enjoys it, the unity was real! Not much fan wars:D Have a good day~

2024-04-12 00:45:02 Normally I’d agree but the guys only do two episodes a week & it’s best to do the OVA’s all together but there’s three of them to watch. They can’t split the no regrets OVA episodes up & they can’t watch the other OVA before episode 1 of season 2, otherwise they’re gonna get spoiled. Cause they’ll do two episodes a week, they need to do another episode after the finale. So the only option is to do the finale episode of season 1 & episode 1 of season 2 together

2024-04-12 00:45:02 They’ve still gotta do another episode after the finale of season 1 anyway. Cause if they finish off on episode 25, that means they’re only gonna do 1 episode that week. So they may as well just jump into season 2 to get the two episodes for the week sorted

2024-04-12 00:45:02 Yeah sorry that’s what I was trying to get at. Basically all the big anime have rotten people in the fandoms and that’s just something we all have to deal with in our own way. I didn’t mean to imply that only AOT has the toxic fans

Oh I get Your point now! That is very unfortunate but very true... Well, all we can do is minimalize the anger of some individuals and spread more unity^^ 😉 Have a good day!

Megan

It's easier on pc because you can put the movie in pop out mode then position it over the timer on their video. All the sites, but Disney+, do pop out. For disney, you have to reverse it and make the Patreon video pop out.

Issac Gonzalez

if you have mac download HE2 from the app store. its allows you to run a tab that always stays infront. put AOT on there, and click play same time really fast....or use 2 different devices :)

Xy Ocsalef

show love if you are into Deathnote, Vindland and Solo leveling too. I hope they'll consider these shows. It will be a solid week for sure.

Sammy

Thank you all for the recommendations! ❤️ I tried the split screen method and it kinda works for me 😊

Lucille Waters

Finally switched over to Patreon thanks to your Reactions on AOT. Watching it anlong with you guys again is a blast but now I am all out of episodes. Nooo! xD

BlueDebut

I got into Vinland on a layover in Fort Worth. Downloaded the first 10 episodes and watched them all. The quickest flight I've ever had. I kinda like the show more than AOT in terms of character development and music. Both are fantastic!

2024-03-20 20:54:23 They already said when they were educating them as cadets in like episode 3 or 4, that the Titans don't eat or attack wild life, just humans. That's why looking away for a second in this anime, you can miss a lot. Horses are fine, besides the Female Titan doing her thing. Also they have said like 3 or 4 times in the last 2 episodes its a human titan.
