June 2022 Tavern LiveKit Server Keys (Patreon)

Thank you to the new and continued patrons who have subscribed for access to our clustered LiveKit server for use with the LiveKit AVClient for FoundryVTT.

We had a number of improvements to both the module and the Tavern cluster this month. 

On the module side, I turned a bug into a feature that now lets users individually mute or hide tracks from any other user. I also introduced the new LiveKit Server option that lets you select the At the Tavern Patreon server to automatically set the URL for connecting to this service. This is the first step in adding proper Patreon account linking so you won't need to manually update keys in the future. For the time being, continue to refer to these posts for the updated key information.

On the cluster, in addition to some bug fixes and performance tweaks introduced by the LiveKit team, I was able to finally track down an ongoing "static during mute" bug and helped to get a fix developed and tested. Thank you to one of my patrons for the feedback and persistence in helping to track this down!

Some of you may have also noticed that The Forge now offers LiveKit servers for their higher tier subscribers. I'm glad to have worked with them to add that functionality to their service and I'm excited to see more people use the module! Though The Forge did partner with me to do the implementation, this Patreon is still the only way of providing recurring support directly toward the development of the LiveKit and other modules supported by us. For users of The Forge, I fully understand if some of you may choose to lower or drop your Patreon subscription in favor of their offering - but for those of you who continue to subscribe, we truly appreciate the support!
