It all hits so dang hard, man. Gardar's story brings me back to what Gramps was saying to Arnheid about how men's desire for wealth and honor just leads to death and destruction. Gardar left his family for what he thought would be bettering their lives, but in his final moments sees how he never should have left and wishes he could have that time back. Its just so sad but its what makes Vinland Saga such a great anime/manga.

I loved how they all knew it was over. Thorfinn, Sverkel, and Arnheid all understood that their last shred of hope was severed the moment Snake plunged his blade into him. That even tho he rose up to incapacitate Snake it was too late. Yet despite that they all played along to at least give Gardar a “happy ending”. Some sense of relief and joy to this poor delirious man hanging to every last ounce of life left before it all spills out. So glad I caught up to your reactions of this series! You fr get this series and it’s great to see you enjoy it as much as us! Look forward more of your reactions!
