This whole series is a combination of absurdism, comedy, tragedy, and a subversion of anime tropes. It’s a series that doesn’t take itself seriously, but also does at the same time, in a weirdly good mix. So I agree with you “what is wrong with this author?” (In a good way lol)

With them in shibuya the chance is pretty high that sukunas Domain Expansion would have smoked some of them. Or run into Mahito oder Jogo. Non of them have a chance against them. Mechamaru was right leaving them out.

Mechamaru was completely right to leave them out of shibuya. About 80% of the sorcerers who entered shibuya have died so far (I'm counting both megumi and yuji because they would both be dead without Sukuna interfering) and the remaining 20% are currently unknown. Putting more people in shibuya would only have killed more people.
