I want to make this clear since I’ve seen some people go “wait what?” when they see it cuz they expected the show to just be sci-fi. There is supernatural elements in this show too. Some characters have special abilities. Shin’s ability to hear the “voices of the dead” is one of them. I’ll explain further when you see more episodes cuz I don’t wanna spoil anything.

hahaha understandable! i watched eps 5-8 in one sitting - at the end of episode 6 i was like "man i think i'm gonna binge this today" but then i got to 8 and my brain stopped braining LOL

It's the tiny details of this show that stand out the most to me. Like you mentioned, the parallel conversations going up and down the stairs, but others like the dying flowers. Kaie was the one watering them, and without her they're withering. A quick note, since Shin is the only one who can "hear" the Legion, safe to assume that only Spearhead is aware of what's going on with the Legion "recycling" the 86, hence why Shin makes sure to send them off personally as much as possible.

Alana they don’t have to incinerate their comrades, hence why Shin shoots them in the head. The time with Kaie they used the word "incinerate" because in the heat of the battle Shin couldn’t leap out of his mech to off her.

If you take a closer look at the scene where Lena runs into the two Alban officers flirting by the stairway, after the first cut towards Lena, the shadows change to reflect the appearance of Shin and Lena.
