The girls talk was really intense and didn’t think they would top this with an actual fight between Ami and Minorin. It’d just sad to see Taiga and Minorin not being true with their feelings because they don’t want to “betray” their best friend.

It wasn’t that Ami planted the idea of guilt in Minoris head. Ami has got a pulse on who has got feelings for who the whole time. She knows and knew back then that Minori had a thing for Ryuuji but she kept pushing it aside because she could see that Taiga needed him and was starting to like him. The “guilt all gone” scene is one of my favorites in anime, it’s so confrontational. It’s telling Minori it was foolish to push those feelings aside and that she shouldn’t feel like being interested in him is akin to “betraying” Taiga. Then as she walks past the expression Ami makes is one of frustration and anger and it’s obviously welling up inside. She’s angry and jealous at Minori for the position she has with Ryuuji (who is the only one who treats Ami like a person) because Ami likes him too. she thinks they’d make a good match… and tbh I think they would too. But Ami is also getting frustrated with her too because she can’t stand to watch Minori not be true to herself or not try to take the opportunity she’s been given. Ami is trying to make things happen, I think because she knows the relationship probably wouldn’t work out. Adoration never leads to a balanced relationship right?
