question about oregairu s1 ep13 (Patreon)

hey everyone!! i'm about to finish up season 1 of oregairu and heard that episode 13 is more of a filler/ova - i wanted to know if i should watch it or just skip to season 2??

i can't find much information about the episode and whether or not it's skippable and i'm afraid of spoiling myself if i look too deep into it. feel free to vote in the poll - thank you in advance!! <3

You should also watch the ova itself before season 2. And btw, you should watch season's 2 ova between episodes 11 and 12 (of s2, of course). But yes, do not skip any episode or ova for that matter.

I think the OVAs should maybe be left to watch after the show is over. I personally find episode 13 ruins 12 since it's so .... Filler.

I mean I don't see how a filler episode would ruin the finale. Just shouldn't be expecting any plot progression and it'll be enjoyable

I love the first ova cuz it's very fun but out of ep 13, s1 ova, and s2 ova it's definitely the easiest to skip cuz it really is just some nice fluff

Oh, I accept your opinion, my comment was not meant to disagree with you. I just wanted to say that it's something that actually happens in the story and the characters acknowledge it.

Episode 13 well at the time of the episode’s release was filler the author actually made it canon down the line, the reason I say you should watch it is because of the characters! After S1 the humor takes a backseat and it becomes a lot more serious (trust me you can tell by the art style changing between seasons) in tone so episode 13 is like a finale send of to this version of Snafu.

After season 1 the show becomes a lot more serious (which is good) so watching episode 13 couldn't hurt before we get to the actual good stuff.

ITs okay ether way, I personally think episode 13 and the first OVA doesn't add anything to the show but they are fun I guess.

So glad the votes are in favour of watching it, I never understood how people can just skip episodes if they've been enjoying the anime so far. And really, what good does it do? It's just more content is it not?

Its a good fun episode, a good stand alone. Also, where are you going to stream season 2? I know it isnt on High Dive.
