I really share your love for Kita - he is epic and wise and just amazing. Can't wait to see (along with you) the last episodes of Haikyuu. Also, in regards to the anime you are considering replacing this anime, i recommend to you: "Run With the Wind." Both the studio and music director are the same and the story is truly excellent. I think it would be a good torch bearer after Haikyuu.

The Oikawa Scene seems a bit weird but I think he sees Kageyama getting better at the stuff that Oikawa is known for. Being able to bring out 100% of every spiker. And not just by giving them what they want, but also forcing them to do harder stuff, like tuskki jumping higher or that line shot from tanaka. We saw something similar in a flashback once with Oikawa and Kindaichi, where he forced him to jump 1 ball length ahead in the game vs Karasuno. This kind of stuff was the thing why people put oikawa above as a setter, even tho he himself admitted multiple times that kageyama has better technical skill. And him starting to sprint after watching Tanakas lineshot feels like he is motivated af because Kageyama shows so much improvement.
