Coping McCoperson

crazy part is, the walking in on her in the shower is tame compared to the manga

No matter how many times I watch this, it's crazy to think that Sajuna (Juju)'s VA is the same person that did Anya from SxF and Futaba from Bunny Girl Senpai. She has some insane vocal range.

She's also the VA for a boss in FFXIV, that one really through me for a loop!

Regarding getting backstory on the parents: the mangaka left Gojo's parents out of the story because she considered them a nuisance. When she first saw Gojo praying at the family altar in episode 1, she was really moved and felt terrible that she callously decided to make him have no parents. She never considered what that would actually mean for Gojo.

shes also vivy and mjurran from tensura. she is extremely talented no doubt

BluTsunami

Hey thank you for the recap, and all the work you’re putting into the recovery! We appreciate it!

This episode feels off for me compared to the rest of the show because of how it was directed. From the moment the camera focused on Marin's legs/butt it seemed uncharacteristic for the show because It wasn't in Gojo's pov, it was purely fan service. Same thing with Juju's scenes. Glad it's over with.

Bits of the magical girl anime do show up in the manga, but this episode did a bit more than the manga with the whole transformation sequence and everything. They do it more and more in later arcs of the manga though, which is fun

Juju has same VA as Anya, it was wild to watcch this then spy family knowing they were same VA shes so talented. I love Gojo and Marin they are perfect together. Juju def off on a terrible foot ngl but at least Marin loves her right LOL

I also think it's totally valid to not like Juju from this episode, cuz on paper she basically stalked Gojo, trespassed into his house, exposed herself to him, and then tried to blackmail him. Imagine if the gender roles were reversed, this would get treated a whole lot differently. It's just a shame that this will probably never be addressed by the story again as the continuing story will try to 'redeem' her, which I'd be okay with if she apologized. Like she literally cried and apologized to Marin for no reason, but nothing towards Gojo

Thanks for the rewatch! Do hope they can recover the original reaction too! Sorta unrelated but if you're looking for more wholesome/funny/romance after you're finished with this I strongly recommend Teasing Master Takagi. It's just funny and cute. It has 3 seasons and it's finished off with a movie! The only problem with watching it is each season is on a different streaming service, which is annoying. But it's seriously great, it's surprisingly well animated and the OST is great. It's just a really good watch. It's actually what got me back into anime in 2019 after a really long time of not watching!

Crazy! It’s like she’s a voice actress or something…

Alana I don’t know when you may do the next poll for suggestions but if you have not seen “Orange” PLEASE PLEASE consider 🥲

This is Definitely a show made by and for Otakus imo

Flower Princess Blaze looks like a parody of your usual CLAMP anime/manga lmao (more specific a Card Captor Sakura parody xD)

Yes, every source potrayed in the anime was equaly thoughly portrayed in the manga. Also, everyone seems to miss this point because it is very subtle. Gojo initially turns down Juju's request, so why does he end up accepting the job? Because MARIN wants to see it. He is kind to a fault, but Marin is the deciding factor.
