To clarify the mirror scene a bit more Emilia had insane self image problems she struggled with since she woke up from the ice. Her body aged 100years in the ice while her mind did not age at all so the difference between her mental and physical age lead to quite some selfimage issues This then got so so much worse because everyone else calls her a witch and hates her for her appearence because she is a half elf that looks like satella. Because of this she never wanted to see herself and never looked at mirrors or anything she would see her reflection in. This was actually one part of her contract with Puck that she never looked into mirrors aswell and Puck made her hair, etc. because of this. In this scene when she jumped in the lake it was the first time she actually saw her own grown up image and came to terms with it. Because she did not know how she looked she hoped that she looked more like her beloved mother fortuna which she stated here. The selfimage thing was a much bigger point in the novels and this scene was a little nod to that plot which was most likely cut from the anime because of time issues
