In any other season, I may have agreed with you that this was my favorite anime of the season, but not this one. It had the misfortune of being up agaisnt Frieren. Still, it is a great anime too

Steins;Gate is one of the more unique and complex time-traveling stories as it is an emotionally impactful story with distinctive and likeable characters (also while incorporating philosophy and real hypothetical time-traveling concepts from Physics).
