REZERO EP8 (I cried, cried my lungs out, and stopped crying) extended (Patreon)

MORE REZERO TODAY YIPPEEEE. Today's upload is another extended version, explained below

UPDATE WITH RE:ZERO SCHEDULE/UPLOADS (please read it all so you know what to expect for the next few weeks!) 

Some of you may have noticed that Crunchyroll removed the regular version of season 1 from their site this past week, and now the Director's Cut is the only version available for me to watch season 1. The timing couldn't have been worse for me LOL, but going forward, I will be watching the Director's Cut of season 1. 

Next Monday, I will be uploading an extended/full reaction of EP5 of the directors cut since today's upload is essentially the first half of that episode. 

After that, I will be continuing with EP6 of the directors cut with timer and edited early access reactions. BUT since these are 50-60 minute episodes, I will only be uploading on Wednesdays and Fridays, and not on Mondays (until we get to season 2 and I can watch the regular version again with the 20 minute long episodes)

So, for next week's Re:ZERO upload schedule:

Monday: Re:ZERO Directors Cut second half of Episode 5 (The Meaning of Courage) FULL/EXTENDED (no timer)
Wednesday: Re:ZERO Directors Cut Episode 6 Early Access/Timer
Friday: Re:ZERO Directors Cut Episode 7 Early Access/Timer

I wish I could continue with M/W/F uploads, but because the episodes are double the length, it's double the watch and edit time and I unfortunately do not have time for that and it would be too much on my plate alongside other tasks and edits. 

But, even though I am only uploading RE:Zero on Wednesdays and Fridays for the rest of this season, we will still be getting through it quicker than if I were still watching the regular version since it's like i'm watching 4 episodes a week vs. 3 episodes a week! We will get back to the M/W/F uploads once we get to season 2. :)

2024-03-20 16:10:41 Apparently Crunchyroll ran into some licensing issues with Re:Zero, but is currently looking into fixing those. Possibly meaning that you could soon continue with the regular scheduled program

W/F uploads is fine. Take the time Monday to chill or edit other videos plus the directors cut is long so it would feel like we’re getting 2 episodes on those days ya know? Anyways, great video! Hope all is well!!

2024-03-20 16:10:41 I‘d recommend staying with the directors cut while you’re already on it now as it’s the newer version and they’ve made some small changes compared to the original season in terms of editing and one additional scene later on in the season

2024-03-20 16:10:41 I would say since you’ve already adjusted for directors cut even if reg comes back I think sticking with the new adjustment makes sense, but truly whatever’s easiest for you! Directors cut has small changes here and there but it’s nothing major

This show would never rip the rug out from under you--no need to worry about that. The funny thing, rewatching it, is that Beatrice clearly noticed that Subaru was cursed on his first loop in the mansion. The evening before he died, she gives him a strange look when he's visiting her and almost seems like she's going to say something, but then stops herself and says "It's none of my business, I suppose." Ice cold, Beako.

Director’s cut, but leave the OVA (Memory Snow) until after the end of the season. The Director’s Cut has it where it takes place chronologically but should be watched after the end of season 1

Buuuuut, romance fans rejoice. Spice and Wolf remake is coming April 1st and even better news I just found out that the voice actors for the two leads are reprising thier roles, and they played those characters so so so well.

Heads up for season 2: Many of the episodes are close to, if not the full 30 minute time slot. The anime was so popular that they were able to air it without commercial breaks.

Oregairu was a licensing issue, each season was made by a different production company. HiDive has Season 1 and 3. But i cant find a place to legally stream Season 2. I broke down and bought hard copies all 3 seasons.

The director's cut os mostly the same thing, just combined episodes. There are a couple of removed scenes and a couple of added scenes. The biggest thing is the end of the last episode has the first scene of season 2 tacked on.

Honestly I have to say the director's cut of Re:ZERO is so much better than the TV version. It's a long task I know, but it does so so much for the show.

This arc is so hard to watch. The pain and trauma Subaru is going through is so lifelike, the voice actor really went above and beyond.

There is a translation issue for this episode. Subaru thinks the reason Emilia gave the name Satella in the first loop is: To make Subaru think she was a dangerous individual. If Subaru (and potentially others) stays away from her, they wouldn't be caught up in the politics of the royal selection, and thus if she pushes away people they shouldn't get hurt because of her.
