I really like this sound from him. It was a surprise. He wrote this one on hiatus too. I think there was an article that said Desire Project is for Mingi's content. In his chat they were asking him about getting real tattoos, and he said I don't even have my ears pierced, wouldn't you start with that? And then I think he said something like, once you get one you have to get a lot, and how he won't do that. He has to save his money because the economy is bad.

Well, I would argue with Mingi on that point. Not only do I have a tattoo but no pierced ears, I only ever got the one tattoo, and that was nearly twenty years ago now. So, it's possible, Mingi, it's possible.

This is one of my favorite things Mingi has done. It isn't too surprising as he is a big fan of a lot of shoegaze, dreampop, and bands like Fall Out Boy. When this came out we discussed this among a lot of us, all of us well over 30 — so that gave us a little bit of a different perspective than a lot of Atiny. Due to Mingi's situation with anxiety etc, we posited that this could possibly be about that entire whatever is going on. I don't know much about you personally, but if you deal with any kind of mental illness it can become a kind of lover to you. You hate it, and want it out of your life. It's such a big part of you that you sometimes rely on and feels so comforting that it can seem like a relationship / lover. Looking at this song, it could depict a struggle with mental illness or addiction. The addiction angle is interesting because his Ateez character arc (not he himself, I'm not speculating on that in public) has a lot of lines, and does things in many videos that relate to not drinking or giving up alcohol, e.g. drinking milk in the bar in Crazy Form. I usually have a way better explanation but the ADHD meds just aren't doing it for me today. Just my two Deutschmarks.

Danke schon. This style was unexpected from him, but also makes a lot of sense. Wasn't there teasing of him coming out with another one soon? I'm looking forward to it, because the boy can write.
