Some info about the YG trainees, Jeon Woong, the one who trained with JYP for a while, left YG and become a trainee at Brand New Music and debut in AB6IX in 2019. I heard Raesung stay in YG but as a producer, not as a trainee. The remaining 5 later join a survival show created by YG in the end of 2018 which named "YG Treasure Box" and 3 of them (yedam, jihoon, doyoung) got into the final line-up. Midam left the show and join another survival show by mnet, "Produce X 101", but didn't got into the final line up and i never heard of him after that. Seunghun, after eliminated from the show move to C9 Ent. and debut in CIX in 2019. The group from YG treasure box (debut as Treasure) didn't debut until 2020 because of YG internal problems.

Wow. Thank you. It sounds like quite a few of them moved around a lot. Hopefully, they're ding well.

I think most trainee who once trained in big agencies like YG and JYP moved around a lot because of the tight competition. Big agencies could train a lot of people but most of them got cut out cause usually there only 1-2 group debuting in every few years. Most of them later move to smaller company to have more chance in debuting. And a bit of a TMI, all of AB6IX member was once a jyp trainee, chan said that he had lived together with all of them. And Daehwi (the maknae of AB6IX) is actually the one who convinced seungmin to audition to JYP (they were classmates), but when seungmin got accepted, daehwi left JYP. Stray kids and AB6IX is still a good friends till now.

First time I saw a clip of Yang Hyun-Suk talking to Felix and having to repeat every question I did chuckle. They all laughed a little and so you laugh as well. And the "do you want to get hit" never really registered. But after watching the full episode that comment just kept repeating in my head. And it felt out of place. Why would you say that to someone who is struggling to learn your language and has only been doing so for 2 months? Why would you say that to a kid who just turned 17 (international age)? And that smile on his face when he said it.....I don't know. I didn't like it. Maybe it's because it's Felix. And Felix is...well...the sweetest person I've ever seen. He wouldn't hurt a fly. Anyway, it made me feel really....maybe it brought out the "tiger-momma" in me, I wanted to throttle him. LOL Now I can laugh at my own reaction. But it's still hard to hear him say that to that sweet boy.

Oh and I'm really curious too, about the busking in Seoul. From what I've read it's very, very different from busking I know in any other place. I've seen street performances in a few European cities, in Canada and some USA places...nothing like what I saw in this episode and what I see online about busking in Seoul. Different feel and even popular groups do it, I read. So interesting.

It is kind of odd looking back at it. Hopefully, he was just trying to lighten the mood in much the same way as Lee Know would threaten to hit the guys these days.

2023-01-20 18:00:53 To think that Chan seriously hurt himself while prepping for this battle is insane. In the dance performance he was supposed to do some acrobatics but he landed on his neck during practice. ( if I remember correctly he said in a chans room that he nearly paralyzed himself with that stunt) so they changed the choreo to the lift and “foot gun” move.

Oh wow. I didn't realize he'd hurt himself so badly. No wonder he looks out for the rest of SKZ so much.

Busking in australia is street performance. I assume that in Korea it might be a little similar in that in the major cities there are sort of... designated spaces for busking. You need to have permission from the city to have any sort of set up because technically you're not allowed to just set up and start performing anywhere you want. You're not allowed to obstruct businesses or egress routes, etc. Some places are better suited to those sort of set ups because of the space, or the businesses around them encourage it because it draws more customers that way. Because of that over time you end up with sort of, informal districts where you're almost always guaranteed to see some sort of performance. This is obviously a slightly different case, as the set up is a grander scale due to the televised nature of the event. All the equipment for filming would draw a larger crowd regardless of the space, and i imagine they advertised that they would be there, so its a little out of the norm in that regard.

That does make sense. I can see certain types of businesses wanting this type of activity going on at their doorstep while others would call in a noise complaint.
