Yeah. If you actually like someone, you don't make jokes based on a stereotype at their expense.

if someone not knowledgeable of bts and army watches this show episode or whatever, the end thought will be "oh these toxic crazy fans i don't like them meh". and i won't insist that there aren't hateful people, but they exist in every community and it's usually not the fault of the community. i really didn't like the way James handled it after saying his JoKe (quote: "It's actually the first time 15 YEAR OLD GIRLS everywhere found themselves wishing that they were Secretary General Antonio Gutierrez.") and i didn't like the way he handled confronting the issue now. because he hasn't even acknowledged there's an issue with generalizing a large group of people using derogatory tones and an issue of making an age a derogatory term. I have a masters degree in sustainable architecture, i've spent so much time studying SDGs, i don't like when someone implies i can only be interested in the UN topics because there are some handsome boys there this time. Instead of correcting himself and pointing that he was wrong, he villainized armys again, ignoring thousands of intellectual and respectful messages explaining why we were upset with his joke and concentrating everyone's attention on those few who crossed the line. He doesn't understand that small casual aggressions are exactly what creates a possibility to excuse the hate. people look at the person like him who "made it" and think "oh if he can laugh on bts and army that i can too wow it's fun haha". there are people who were and are bullied for being a fan of a boyband, fan of bts. it' not fun. it's not good to step low and add to the general dislike toward communities that don't deserve it. even after RM stated "we appreciate your apology" you can hear James saying "it wasn't an [apology], he doesn't see anything wrong with his words. i respect RM for wording it that way, he put James in a position when he had to even if unwillingly agree that he's sorry in order to not look like a complete idiot. so like... fine i guess, it's business, but meh

Yeah, I really like how RM handled the entire situation. Even though Corden wasn't intending on apologizing for his joke, I think there was some kind of understanding they came to.
