Omg I could have sworn you'd already reacties to this!! But no...wow Love how you mentioned all sorts of different interpretations. Yes, they are so good at writing lyrics you can relate to from many points of view. Its interesting though, that most pet owners immediately felt the need to cuddle their pet when hearing this. And then theres a contingent of stay that says its about ...stay. because after the song came out, chan said something like "of course its about....stay". But a few days before the release he was extensively talking about Berrie on bubble. How she is already 10. Older. Time flying. Things like that, I cant remember verbatim and lost the history of my chat on bubble. And then this song dropped, almost the next day. So to me it always felt like it was about his dog. But the lyrics could mean so many things. Love how it sounds happy...but there is an undercurrent of melancholy, nostalgia...maybe even sadness there. Although that could be because of the interpretation of a pet and we all know we lose pets quite early. It would also fit the ocean or his hometown though...because we all know he misses both a lot. Anyway...with all the new songs I havent listened to this one in a little bit, so thanks for the reminder of how much I love this one.

Yeah, so behind on so much content. I was just thinking while reading your comment about how this song could be about Berrie, but also very much about his home in Australia. Chan has been in Korea pretty much ever since Berrie has been around (if Berrie is 10), so in taking him out for walks and waking up to him in bed, Chan would associate all of that and Berrie in general with the sensations of being home in Australia as well. They are intertwined in a way.

Berry is 9 this year if I remember correctly, in my perspective I think it’s definitely about berry some stays says it’s about stays, but I don’t think stays are able to “hug” and “wake up Chan on his own bed”😬. He loves berry so much he often come to bubble and talk about her or when he sees any random dog like the last skz code where he remembered berry and said that the dog resembled her even though the dog was quiet different. He really adores her and she is getting old, he is not really around her anymore which makes me sad because he looks the happiest when he talks about her🥲. About the filming we think that Hannah was with him that’s why berry kept looking at the camera
