Apparently, 10, years without my mother suddenly hit me harder than 9 years did. So I drowned myself in skz content ..and singing.

My week's been completely horrible 😃 No it's not been all bad. But last Thursday I was supposed to go on a trip with a friend. A trip I had been planning since January. And the day before, her car got hit and the driver's side mirror broke. We weren't able to get it fixed in time for the trip. This would have been my first ever trip with just me and a friend, and the first trip in the six-year friendship with this specific friend. It was a pretty bad day. But Mother's Day was alright. Gave gifts and all, flowers, food. We had to clean the whole house the last couple days for an inspection today since we get government assistance with renting this house. The guy was here for like 5 minutes 🤣 But ya know, the one time you don't clean every inch, the inspector will critique everything. Anyway, it's been a rough week 🥲 Let's hope this week will be better.

As long as you content yourself with drowning in SKZ content, all will be well. That's a good reminder that this will be my mother's first Father's Day without her dad. I'll have to be sure to check in on her.

Well that stinks. Are you able to reschedule, or did that completely throw everything into the gutter? I had a little taste of what it's like for the cleaning this week. With all the house showings trying to sell this place, I spent a couple hours cleaning and straightening things up one day this week, just to have that day's showing cancel right as they were supposed to be showing up. Lovely.
