First Legend Feature (Patreon)

As we get closer to the release of 1.0 we're thinking about what features to work on after our official release. One thing we want to do is add a feature for Backlog Legends. As mentioned in an earlier post we're not planning to hide any core features behind the Legends paywall, but we do want to give you something cool for helping us out! Here is some of the ideas we've had:

Custom Tags

The game collection already has a great deal of filter options to make it easy to find a game in those big collections. But there's always those extra things you may want to track, something for which custom tags would be perfect. Some examples we thought of:

• Trophy hunters could tag certain games "easy plat"
• You could tag some games with playtime "under 5 hours" or "low playtime" to find those games if you don't want to be stuck for another 100 hours on a new game
• You could mark games with "must finish" or "play next" that need some extra attention cause you really want to go back to or start it once you get time

Just some ideas, but the beauty of custom tags is that it can be anything the you want, as those tags are just for you!

Game Subscription Service

There's so many game subscription services out there with new games being added weekly, that almost every game is playable for free somewhere. We'd like to collect this information and show it on the game pages, as well as add filters for it on the game search. As an added benefit for Legends, we'd like to enable you to select which subscription services you're subscribed to. You will then be able to filter your wishlist on those streaming services and get notifications if games on your wishlist have been added to your subscription.

Without definitive research and testing it's not clear what services we'd be able to support, but some quick research got me info on Xbox Game Pass, PS Now, GeForce Now and Playstation Plus, so those are probably on the table.

Your Idea?

Do you have an idea for a cool addition to Infinite Backlog that could be a pro feature? Something nice enough to thank users for their support and maybe even convince some to do so because they want to use the feature, but not so big that it should be a core feature. We're in the idea phase so anything goes, go nuts!

We are leaning towards custom tags because that seems to be the most versatile, so it’d probably be useful to the most people, but we’d love to have your input since it’s going to be for you guys!
