Another great Jake Gyllenhaal film is Nightcrawler. He has a ton of amazing performances but I believe that movie is his best. Also Bill Paxton is briefly in the movie and I always love when he is in things. Rest in peace Bill.

I agree with Simone. I also felt like the kid at the end was more mature than he looked. His thoughts didn't seem like a little kid's thoughts, and he didn't speak the way a little kid would, at least IMO.

Middy

I remember watching this as a kid and thinking it was super pretentious, along with any diehard fans of it. Still rings true, honestly.

I'm pretty sure the plural of "paradox" is "paradoxicesses". :P

I suggest butterfly effect 2004

One of the trivia tidbits listed for this film on IMDB is that this is Seth Rogan’s first feature film. Which means the first sentence he uttered in the movies was “I like your boobs”. I don’t know why but I find that fittingly hilarious

Time Travel movies make me feel dumb. Especially since I don't believe in the concept of physically going backwards in time.

Now you could watch "Southland Tales" (the second Richard Kelly's movie). I think it's a great one, but many people would disagree... Totally crazy story and characters... but so difficult to understand in a single viewing !

I don't believe in magic, but still enjoyed Harry Potter.. Don't let reality stop you from watching movies :P

When I think of this movie, I lump it together with titles like Dark City & Repo Man. They're really impossible to adequately describe & must be experienced. I guess that's why they all fall into the 'cult classic' bin. BTW - is that a rabbit or a pooka? Totally off topic, a completely different Jenna Malone movie you may enjoy is Saved (executive produced by Michael Stipe) & co-starring Patrick Fugit, Macaulay Culkin & Mandy Moore. It kind of takes the piss out of evangelicals, but in a surprisingly empathetic way.
