I think this movie also has some “Navy SEALS” references (also starring Charlie Sheen). This is not a recommendation for that movie. Wall Street or Platoon or Young Guns are better Sheen choices

There aren't that many good spoofs. It very, very rapidly descend into spoof spoofing of spoofs and just plain bad movies and comedies.

"Kiss me like you've never kissed me before" and "I loved you in Wall Street" are two great bits in an otherwise very mediocre comedy.

I'm old so I'm probably the only person who got the reference to "Sea Hunt". That was a series in which Lloyd Bridges played a scuba diver who narrated the underwater scenes as he did in Hot Shots Part Deux.

Thanks George, i have watch this movie over 50 times but now i finaly get the joke "they have sworn abstinence like their fathers and their fathers before" ;) But I was surprised that you didn't recognize american gladiators or the battery bunny commertial...i am getting old^^

'Not Another Teen Movie' (spoofing 80's and 90's teen/romantic comedies, John Hughes movies, etc.) and 'Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood' (spoofing 90's 'hood movies). 'Top Secret' and the first 'Scary Movie' are also good, but the latter was so successful it spawned numerous, horrible sequels, and eventually the downfall of the genre. Fun fact: the Wayans family are behind both DBAMTSCWDYJITH and SM, but two writers who stole their idea to get their own version of a scary movie spoof film made were added to the writing credits of Scary Movie. They eventually churned out shit sequels and zero laugh movies that killed the genre.

If you're looking for a Rowan Atkinson movie to watch, give Johnny English a shot. And PLEASE watch Dracula: Dead And Loving It for another amazing Mel Brooks spoof. :)
