I’ve always thought that this is the most boring film in the series. But, because the first 90% of the film is so boring, it really makes the finale feel that much more satisfying.

Rockys fighting style is based on Chuck Wepner who had the nickname the Bleeder. He used to get pummeled a ton and got his opponents tired so he could win. It used to be a legitimate way of fighting but modern boxing is way more defensive after the Mayweather era. One of the best fighters that used to have a Rocky type of fighting style was Aaron Pryor - The Hawk widely considered the greatest welterweight fighter of all time. Also Ernie Shavers or Deyonte Wilder are considered the hardest punchers in boxing and Wilder scores somewhere around 2.700k PSI which is basically a small Fiat car to the face.

Do you remember Arturo Gatti, micky ward, old George forman, Diego Corrales? I could go on but those guys use to take a beating and win. Lol! I don't think fighting has gotten more defensive minded since Mayweather though. Some of these guys fought Mayweather. I mean sugar ray leonard was a defensive fighter and before Mayweather. It's just different styles and a little cultural as well. Italian fighters and Latino fighters are known to be able to take a punch or just be tougher. I don't know if it's true or not but if you look up the bloodiest boxing matches there are a lot of Italian and Latino fighters in the mix. Some fighters are just all heart though and those seems to be the most beloved of them all.

I also watched "You've got Mail" (an "A Knight' Tale") repeatedly every day on a loop on DVD for months. That's how I learned english. By watching it over and over with and without the audio commentary, at first with german subtitles, later with english subtitles and finally without subtitles.

As much as I'd love to see you keep doing Rocky movies, I hope you do other boxing movies. I'd especially love to see you react to The Champ, starring Jon Voight, Jack Warden, Faye Dunaway, and Ricky Schroder. I think it's an underrated one, and the ending is devastating.

I'm not sure describing the mood of the ending is a good idea for a reaction channel where the whole idea is to go in without knowing as little as possible about the movie.

The one that I really feel doesn't get the attention it deserves, especially in comparison to MBD (which I'm not much of a fan of myself) is Karyn Kusama's Girlfight, the debut performance and best performance by Michelle Rodriguez.
