Love this film for you guys. Not only did it make Matt Damon into a bankable action star, but it also proved that a spy story didn’t have to follow the Bond model with gadgets and glamour. It made the Bourne model with more gritty fights and noirish plots something to emulate. I can’t wait for you guys to do the third one, the Bourne Ultimatum, as that really was the pinnacle of the series in terms of plotting and fight scenes.

The trilogy (first 3 Bourne films) are very watchable, and make a whole story. After that, they tried to make it into a big franchise but failed and the quality crumbles. As to French, the formal name for a stakeout is "surveillance". But it's also the word for watch, watching, it's much less precise than stakeout. After that, plenty of slang for stakeout, albeit nothing (that I can remember) for exactly that: filature or filoche for moving surveillance, planque for a stakeout hideout or sometimes the stakeout itself, soum (from sous-marin: submarine) for police vehicle especially designed or modified for stakeouts.

For sure. I still talk about some of the fights from this series even after almost two decades. The way he improvised weapons out of everyday objects and proceeds to devastate his enemies is that memorable.

An underrated movie is Atomic Blonde starring Charlize Theron. The fight scenes in that movie along with the sound track was great. The fight scenes in that movie made you actually feel their pain. People called her the female version of John Wick. Even a respectable critic said Atomic Blond is bourne and Bond on steriods. Some scenes are really raw.

I love so many things about this film and there's one thing that I rarely hear anyone mention but you guys touched on: Clive Owen's character! The dude's just an intimidating silent presence for the most part, but when he finally speaks, you feel sorry for him and then he just dies.

Shaky Cam shows up in the second and third of the series under director, Paul Greengrass. First movie is Doug Liman, who is in my opinion much better at action and also directed Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Edge of Tomorrow. Big fan!

The Bourne movies are basically John Wick for the previous generation.

Love the franchise. The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007) are well worth the time. You can skip Legacy (2012) ;) Then Jason Bourne (2016) brought the feel of the first three back

Can't wait to see your reactions to the subsequent Bourne movies. They make a cohesive story except for the Jeremy Renner movie but that one is still interesting.

Whilst I completely agree with everyone in recommending the next few Bourne films I would also highly recommend Run Lola Run for more Franka Potente - A highly original film
