It may be an unpopular opinion, but I think that Bogus Journey was actually better than Excellent Adventure, and is an absolute must watch! I remember when I was in my early teens checking the VHS out from the library every week for like 6 months and watching it almost daily!

So, obviously the guy who plays Ted became a huge star, and the guy who played Bill... didn't. But actually he was more interested in directing. Apparently he was constantly behind the camera between takes, talking to the crew to figure out how everything worked. He's a successful documentary filmmaker now. Apparently he just made one about YouTube's effect on society, which is a subject you might have some experience with...

You'll definitely want to see the second one if you want to watch the third. It will be interesting to see a younger reaction to it. I saw the originals as a teenager and really liked the third one, but I'm not sure how much nostalgia played in to it.

The second movie..... eh..... it's not nearly as good as the first. There's a lot more "cringe." But the latest 2020 movie? I loved it. It had the same tone as the first.

You should definitely watch both of the sequels. I'm probably in the minority, but I actually think of Bogus Journey way more than Excellent adventure, not sure I like it more, but when bill and Ted is mentioned, all I think of is the insanity of the second movie. Fucking Station guys, 7th Seal, the Energizer bunny, that shit is amazing. Face the Music isnt as good as either of its predecessors, but it is still a very fun time, and it is a good ending for the characters. Like, please watch the second one, and yes definitely get stoned for it.
