Recommending 'The Game' (1997) by David Fincher. It's all about puzzles so Simone should love it and it's one of the best thrillers out there.

This is my favorite David Fincher movie. Having a favorite serial killer is just gross. That said, I read Robert Graysmith's book when I was in high school lol This movie is heavily based on that book and leans on Arthur Leigh Allen as the sole killer, but it's one of those true stories that gets more complicated the more details you learn. "This is the Zodiac speaking" is one of a ton of interesting docs on YT, there are interviews of the survivors in some. Mike Mageau was a mess, barely coherent, but the Lake Berryessa survivor Brian Hartnell was lucid and he watched this movie, he said the way the scene was shot in which he and Cecilia Shepherd were stabbed was totally accurate. I couldn't get the director's cut, but I heard mentioned the Son of Sam murders while I paused. So I have to recommend Spike Lee's "Summer of Sam", which I have to warn you is not actually that much about the Son of Sam, well it kind of is... Anyway it's an interesting movie.

Simone, I will second George's endorsement of Mindhunter. It's a great show that unfortunately didn't capture enough of an audience and was cancelled after 2 seasons.

I'm going to join the others in this thread in recommending both Prisoners and Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. One of the things I love about Zodiac is that there is so much information presented but it never feels overwhelming as a viewer. I had a similar feeling with Dragon Tattoo where again there's so much detail but it's presented in a way where you can still absorb it all.
