I was incredibly excited to see you guys react to this, and it did not disappoint. Such a great movie, but as I've said for many years, and you've probably heard a million times it's slowly transforming into a documentary. It used to just be the whole "stupid people are outbreeding the smart ones" but now it's starting to show in the general public when you see street trivia videos all you can think of is this movie. LOL

Funny That

It's a great comedy, but breeding our way to universal stupidity in the future is a bullshit premise. Raising all the babies in the world on gatorade will get the job done though. There are very few people with exceptional intelligence, low or high, with all the vast rest of us being average, like Joe.

Matthew Langley

Imagine for those of us who watched this in a pre-Trump, pre-pandemic, pre-Jan 6, 2021 world... then that happened and this seemed quite prophetic in context.

Luke Trottier

Lol, I remember being 16 and thinking of the idea of this film premise. Not as a serious belief that it could happen, but just had the idea dawn on me. 2 years later, I see a new Mike Judge dvd at blockbuster and wanted to give it a go. Ha, low and behold, it's the exact thought I had recently had! That made it an extra fun watch.

Legal Eagle did a review of this film for legal accuracy. Not at all accurate for the year it was released, but totally accurate for the Trump era.

So... Fuddruckers is a real restaurant in the US if you didn't realize. It specializes in "smash" style burgers. Sadly they are mostly closed I believe...at least in Texas. My family used to always joke about the name though, "Rudd*uckers"...
