Adam took the words out of my mouth. It's an aesthetic triumph that fully leverages Kubrik's autistic level perfectionism, but Dear God do you need an infusion drip with 10% pharmaceutical grade caffeine solution hooked into you forearm veins to actually be able to see it all, and not nod off thirty minutes into the three hours plus run time. Seriously though this movie is so visually gorgeous it could give Stendhal Syndrome to Ray Charles, and the man was not just legally blind but has been dead now for nearly twenty years to boot!

I seriously enjoyed watching this film with you both. This wasn't my first go at watching this. It was a number of years before, when I last watched the movie. Very glad that you both decided to watch this and stuck through it, despite the ultra violence.
