They are... And it is quite a jump in terms of effects quality.... Seeing the originals would be good to appreciate the jump as well as the original story...

Each film in the trilogy is different than the last. All 3 are great and worth watching. When doing IP's with sequels or trilogies you should watch one entry per week instead of just doing the first one then maybe getting to the sequel months down the line if ever. Now I want to watch Dawn, but I know as soon as I do you'll post it and I won't want to watch it again so soon lol

This is my favorite of the three, I really liked to see Cesar grow up and struggle with his role in society. The other two movies are good, but the nuance is lost in them, as they declare humans wholly evil. How I remember them anyway.

Wow, I'd forgotten how many homages/references there were to the 1968 movie. So many direct quotes / scenarios referenced. I really wish you'd seen the original movie first now.

I REALLY enjoyed this reaction. Holy crap, this movie is excellent. Hits me in the feels every time I watch it. I'm 100% down for you both to watch and react to the sequels. This one's my favorite of the three, but I'd still enjoy the others. Caesar is amazing! :) <3
