I've been on the fence of watching this, since I'm a sensitive boi. I had to take a couple of breaks while watching it as the silence grew really intense. Well-made and surprisingly heartfelt! The critical voice in me was disappointed at the Hollywood speed of giving birth. And I'd have appreciated it if they'd found a more original way of a father showing his love to his kids.

No, second one is not flashback. They have planned a part III; which will be "Day One". So I guess: Flashback :-)

did she look over to a second screen when George mentioned it was a short movie then speak gibberish to hide the fact she has it pulled up?? Also part 2 is a horrible movie do not watch it.

For me, Part 2 is definitely worth a watch; if nothing else, at least watch the opening flashback to Day 1. No, it isn’t as strong as the first movie, but it really opens up the world as it follows these characters we’ve really come to care about.

Well, Part 2 does open with a 15-minute or so flashback to Day 1, which is kind of incredible. I think it addresses all the questions about why the military didn’t find the solution: Because they were likely all dead within minutes.

I thought it would be weird to hide that as well... I know George always explains the poster, so I don't know to what degree they try and keep the reaction blind. Maybe she accidently glanced at the picture and panicked? As for Simone gibbering for fun sometimes... I totally agreebebeb bub bub bub... I wasn't agreeing with you i was just gibbering... Honestly, watch the first few seconds again and try not to gaslight.

They filmed this in my small hometown in New York. John Krasinski is a really down to earth, normal guy.

I really think the second Quiet Place is worth watching. The craftsmanship, performances and some of the sequences are done well enough that it justifies a watch, despite the entire premise not holding the same mystery.
