There is a post-credits on 22 - and it's amazing. You guys seen Hot Tub Time Machine?

Onno Smits

I forgot how fucking funny this movie is! 🤣 I can't wait for 22 Jump Street, I remember that one being pretty great too.

Good retrospective of the TV Show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-bTBJuxfMs

I was a fan of the TV show (Depp and his partner in the film are the original McQuaid brothers, and the cop signing off on the car for Hill and Tatum was also on the TV show). And while I enjoy this movie (and the sequel), it’s “not my 21 Jump Street”. Like many other nostalgia properties (Miami Vice, The A-Team, Red Dawn, etc), I just have learned to divorce the original from the reboot. It’s just Hollywood leaning on nostalgia and not wanting to risk their money on original ideas. That doesn’t mean the reboot stuff is necessarily bad; but I’m never really happy when it happens from a concept point of view, and just do my best to view it as a new property and pretend it’s in a pop culture vacuum. (And yes, I disliked how they killed off the real McQuaid brothers for cheap laughs)

Very average movie for me, easily forgettable,

That's it for me, unsubscribing. Look, I love your reactions but there's something I just can't handle anymore and that's how long you people take to react to some sequels. You guys watched Rocky in February and loved it, so where the heck are the reaction to the sequels?! Same with Blade Runner which again you loved (especially Simone who wanted to watch the sequel as soon as possible and which made me subscribe) and yet here we are at the end of June, where's Blade Runners 2049 reaction? It's just a drag to hope that you'll finally react to one of these sequels and be constantly disappointed that it ends up being more annoying than anything. So I'm quitting, maybe I'll subscribe again in 5 years when you'll finally have reacted to the sequels to movies you've loved. I'm a bit bitter, but I still wish you guys all the success, especially since you're fellow Canadians.

I feel both ways. I was definitely hoping to get BR2049 the week after BR (and it is wild to me that they did the second Austin Powers and Blade before BR2049), but with Rocky, that's a commitment of seven more movies. Plus, if they'd started, two other channels just did the whole run and then you get different people complaining that "all the reactors are doing Rocky now." There are also lots of movies with sequels...you're waiting for those two but then there's hypothetically Austin Powers in Goldmember, Blade Trinity, Daniel Craig Bond 2-5, John Wick 2-3, Men in Black 2-4, Rambo 2-3, and the third Cornetto movie, just to name a few...maybe they should do a sequel month!

Views also matter. Austin Powers got a lot more views and faster than Blade Runner so that is probably the reason they did the sequel so soon. It also won the poll.

I agree with you, Tyler. It's probably daunting as a reactor to feel like you're setting yourself up to have an obligation to watch a series of several movies (or several seasons of a TV show), especially since that takes time away from several individual popular/good movies that don't have sequels. That said, I'm admittedly pretty surprised we haven't seen a BR 2049 reaction yet, considering how much they both seemed to look forward to seeing the sequel in their post-BR discussion. Personally, it's the reaction I'm looking forward to the most at the moment, since it's one of my all time favorites (in combo with the first BR). Happy to be subscribed until then, though. :-)

I agree in that if you start a franchise it's expected you would finish it, at least at some point. But at the end of the day it's Simone & George's channel & if you don't like what they're doing - there's the door.

lmao I just made a similar comment about how they only touch on all these franchise-esque movies. They outta just do standalone films. It's kinda annoying from a business aspect. (PS Im not unsubbing just critizing)_

when did this become an airport? i am totally enjoying the broad range of movies being covered, some i've seen, and many i haven't. idk i guess i subscribed, myself, because i enjoy their personality and interactions and that's what *I* pay for. i guess some people pay for their expectations to be met. *shrug* entitled gonna entitle.

Well said @Eleven. That's my thoughts too. I watch along with the ones I've already seen and if they do a movie I haven't seen I put it on my list to watch. Nothing hard about that. I'm not trying to get people to watch the movies I want to watch when I want to watch them. What a strange hill to die on.

Yeah man , how dare people paying money for a product voice their opinion about it /s

I think the thing that works about this channel is the spontaneity. It is their channel and it is right that they choose when to see a movie.

redddfer44

Personally I prefer it this way. I love looking forward to the regular updates and being surprised. And I get introduced to new movies as well. Plus it keeps the channel from getting pigeonholed.

You guys need to do The Lego Movie now! These two directors are some of my favorite comedic filmmakers!
