Rob Bottin who worked on the creature effects worked himself very ill. He had to be flown from the Alaska set and taken to the hospital suffering from dehydration and sleep deprivation. The man almost died for his work and he was given nothing from the Academy Awards 😕😕

This movie specifically is why John Carpenter is my goat horror director. I mentioned in the YouTube comments on the "good boy" pic, I hope you guys watch the rest of his "Apocalypse Trilogy" the third movie in particular is really underrated and all three have that "Eldritch Horror" (which I usually refer to as Cosmic or Lovecraftian Horror) vibe. And I'd love if you guys could react to John Carpenter's "Big Trouble In Little China". I love that movie but I'm also curious to hear George's thoughts because I remember hearing at the time that an advocacy group protested it for depicting Chinese Americans as violent. I thought it made them look awesome lol, but in retrospect I imagine it might be considered cultural appropriation, I can't say myself.
