The last weekly polls winner was To Kill a Mocking Bird, which will be available this Saturday.
Reminder: movies that don't win does not mean they will never be watched, it just means they will be watched later. Please be respectful to each others opinions, we're all just here to have fun and watch movies :)

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

These sure are some violent romcoms!… But actually - Scream 2, because it’s a great time and Doctor Sleep, because Rose the Hat 🎩

Deco

Dr sleep for the win

JoshG

I really want to continue the scream franchise but doctor sleep is such a good movie!

Luca Kelly

God pleaseee doctor sleep it’s so good, especially the directors cut

paul rai

I’m not fooling myself that the bigger I.P. names might win out, but in the case of Doctor Sleep winning, PLEASE watch the Director’s Cut of it. It’s infinitely better and contains more character development and scenes that only heighten the dramatic stakes. And it simply makes a great movie even better! Love Doctor Sleep so much.

Kial O'C

Gotta be Insidious, I think that’d fuck her up a bit 😂

Robert Cooper

Get the extra long cut of Doctor Sleep.

JH138138

At least watch up to Saw 4, right before the franchise went downhill

Śéáń

I haven't seen Doctor Sleep yet, I have heard good things, and hopefully if it does win it will lead to more Flanagan works in the future. The day Haunting of Hill House et al. make it to a poll will be a good day 👀

Bob Bittner

Since I haven’t seen enough of these to make an informed decision, I’ll toss in my write-in vote for “Sinister” (assuming it hasn’t been done already).

djKENTO

WOW THAT WAS WEIRD! It literally showed me this poll with the Popcorn in bed logo. Doctor Sleep please, director's cut for SURE.

ShoNuff3000

Doctor Sleep... surprisingly good.

Jeremy Charlie

A consideration for your Halloween movies. "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon" should be watched. Think slasher/documentary. Slasumentary?

djKENTO

also the homies at Maplenuts are interested in Hannibal too. Maybe another team up reaction?

Robb

Request to add Everest 2015 to future polls 🤞

Hans Olav Sletnes

Hope you get around to seeing Jabob's Ladder some time. Easily one of the best horror movies of the 90s.

Harry Fieldson

apparently Stephen King wasn’t a fan of The Shining at all, but actually really liked Dr. Sleep

Wrencher86

You know what would have looked really good on this poll? Ravenous (1999)

paul rai

Also it extends that beautifully heartbreaking conversation between Danny and Lloyd the bartender. (don’t want to spoil it for George or Simone on whom Lloyd represents.) Some of Ewan McGregor’s best on display in Doctor Sleep.

Riverton

lmao poor S&G... they got ppl whining about not doing directors cut or extended cuts, only theatrical etc. etc. for 2 movies in the last week. now they got ppl telling them to do directors cut, its a must! hahaha the confusion...

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Yeah he refers to it as “Kubrick’s The Shining” and remarked its cold vs hot difference in environment and other happenings (trying to avoid book spoilers here) as too drastic a change. Still a brilliant film either way

ShoNuff3000

Wow! I liked Doctor Sleep and I've never seen the director's cut! Got to track it down.

lovemoose

Insidious is really good

Julian G

Insidious I'd amazing tho

paul rai

Yeah, King despises Kubrick’s film because it’s not a good adaptation of his book (as King has described), but what Flanagan accomplishes is by miraculously blending the horror aesthetic and stylization of Kubrick with King’s dramatic prose and world-building into a seamless masterpiece (at least to me, I love Doctor Sleep), and I think that’s why King loves this film. It carried over the missing thematic elements of the Shining (the book) into Doctor Sleep and fully realizes King’s characters and story.

horrible

Anyone remember the movie Phantoms? Does it still hold up?

Sam

I’ve been dying for you guys to watch Doctor Sleep. Rooting hard for it to win!

Maiki

Thanks for putting Hannibal in there, at least something to vote for for me. Just can't stand horror movies. Couple of movies i'd like to suggest: The Saint (1997) Ronin (1998) Into The Wild (2007) Limitless (2011) Silver Linings Playbook (2012) Arthur The King (2024)

Sean Maher

If/when you do Doctor Sleep, you HAVE to do the Director's Cut. It is infinitely better than the standard cut.

Smooticus

Lots of good choices again! However, for future consideration: Stir of Echoes In the Mouth of Madness Prince of Darkness The Canal Lake Mungo Night of the Hunter Christine

FrancescoTakesItEasy

Hey, it's my favorite genre, too! Doctor Sleep Director's Cut is a goddamn masterpiece. Not interested in the theatrical cut, though. Since this is not clear my votes went to Scream 2, Hannibal, and Carrie.

paul rai

Haha, yeah, it’s always a case-by-case basis (I feel) when it comes to Director’s cut of films. Sometimes they are inherently better at adding to the film, story, and character that one could sense is missing from a theatrical version (Some of Ridley Scott’s films fit this category). And sometimes they do feel rather superficial and more of, “this is something hardcore fans will enjoy but general audiences don’t need this extra stuff to enjoy it on its own.”

Peppermint Maud’dib

Request to add Avatar (2009) and The Way of Water after that to a future poll!

Grumblefunk

Suspiria (1977), some exposure to Dario Argento's unique style of classic Italian horror would be awesome on this channel and the soundtrack is the spookiest 70s prog you'll ever hear (by the band Goblin), you two would LOVE it, add it to the next list please :D

paul rai

I think a lot of us are advocating for the directors cut for Sleep in the comments and George is very good at listening to the comments/community when it comes to different cuts of movies so definitely shout out the director’s cut here and give it a vote! :)

kbobravo

I second Stir of Echoes and In the Mouth of Madness. The others are worth watching too (especially Night of the Hunter), but those 2 are criminally underseen.

djKENTO

It's 10 bucks on amazon on blu-ray right now. There is no 4k physical release for the dictor's cut, but it is in 4K on VOD.

djKENTO

and then we can follow it up with Last Night in Soho for Edgar Wright's take on the Giallo genre.

RandomNevermind

More of favourite genre movies! Please! Let me suggest: The Others (2001) The Witch (2015)

FrancescoTakesItEasy

Got it. I don't know about the availability of the DC on streaming (disc person here), and I assume they use the version most people can watch along to. There's too much uncertainty, so I'll stick with my choices. Anyway, looks good for the Doc for now, even without me 😉

Florian Geyer

Hannibal is one of the must watch, such a good movie ❤ Some space horror reccomendation: Sunshine Event Horizon

kbobravo

One of my favorite moments is going to a test screening of Doctor Sleep about 8 months before its release and being among the first audience to see it. Mike Flanagan was there and I got to talk with him about The Haunting of Hill House for a bit. Really awesome down to Earth kind of guy. I wish I could pick his brain now about Midnight Mass (my favorite work of his). Definitely do the director's cut of Doctor Sleep if possible.

Daniel Popp

If Doctor Sleep wins, make sure to watch the directors cut!

Josip Buretic

Some great movies are up there! Looking forward to watch your reaction no matter who wins 😁

Daniel Popp

Or just watch the original Avatar, Dances With Wolves. Don't even need to watch the sequel since it's literally the first film, just on the water.

Marc Mees

To make you laugh again after this, good boys as a comedy would be awesome

FWPJR.

I was really hoping that Carrie would win this, but sadly looking at the poll results right now I don’t see that happening. But hopefully you two react to it sooner rather than later.

Tim T—

Brazil (1985) is basically a horror movie.

MasterElodin

I know how hard it must be for Simone but I wish you guys did more horror. They are always very fun reactions to watch :) not that the others aren't but seeing your very different approaches to scary stuff is always really interesting :)

micah saldana

ill vote insidious, and also resident evil because its completely ridiculous

Jason R Carpenter

Dr. Sleep is a great mix of monster, ghost, and psychological horror

Katzchen1984

Insidious or Saw 2 please :)😺

djKENTO

Wow you did it! You made the joke! You sure did make that joke that nobody has ever said before. 🤮

T.C. Thompson

Carrie doubles as a movie that pisses you off.

Mastervodo

Waaaaaaaait a second here! Aren't romantic comedies Simone's favorite?

Dale Smith

If Doctor Sleep wins, PLEASE watch the extended cut! The story flows better and we get a better understanding of the characters.

Simon Pegged Me

Thanks for putting Carrie in the mix. If it doesn't win now, maybe it'll stick around for consideration at Halloween. [crosses fingers]

Jay

I'd say the chances of a Cinebinge reaction to Suspiria, or any 1970s Italian horror movie for that matter, are slim to nil.

DM DC

I've been eagerly awaiting for Scream 2 and Saw 2, and Hannibal! Can't wait for them to get to that some day as the way it's looking they will not be winning this poll.

Mycenaeus .

Carrie would be a great follow-up to Grease.

Dirge Girl

Viewing suggestions... Dead Alive (1992) [Comedy/Horror] Mandy (2018) [Action/Horror] Nope (2022) [Horror/Sci-fi] Shadow of the Vampire (2000) [Horror/Drama] John Dies at the End (2012) [Horror/Comedy] In the Mouth of Madness (1994) [Horror/Fantasy] The Return of the Living Dead (1985) [Horror/Comedy]

jmundt33a

I hope you contrast and compare both remakes after the original Carrie at some point. Hannibal is solid.

Michael Robayo

If Doctor Sleep wins, please watch the director’s cut.

Mike FromOz

In the Mouth of Madness is so underrated. Lake Mungo will make Simone's skin crawl for sure. Christine and Night of the Hunter rule.

Mike FromOz

I've not seen Dr Sleep, so I recommended "Carrie". I would also like to recommend "Ravenous", because holy shit that movie is great.

micah saldana

here's some movie recommendations of no particular genre. Argo (not Fargo) Super 8 (I feel like a lot of people don't even remember this movie) Secret Window Wind River Hell or High Water

tullius cicero

wowzers currently listening to Carrie on audible and was excited to watch the original movie afterwards, now i can watch it with these canucks.

Khan1001

Also, might be a good idea to re-watch The Shining again in your own time G&S

sarCC

Carrie all the way. Doctor Sleep is OK, more interesting than anything else, but one of the lesser Mike Flanagan projects. It really pales in comparison to his other movies (Hush, Gerald's Game, Oculus, Ouiga: Origin Of Evil) and his TV stuff(The Haunting Of Hill House, ...Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, The Fall Of The House Of Usher). And Scream 2 is fun, but mostly dumb, though at least it gets you closer to 5cream and SCREAIVI, which are both great.

JoeE

Would also recommend sinister, one cut of the dead

Wyatt Nuxoll

These are all great movies , I'm hoping doctor sleep takes it . They did a good job I feel , in making this film it is a very good sequel # REDRUM

G P

Doctor Sleep was good, but it was like 45 min too long

MR

I think it's one of the worst sequels I've ever seen, personally. The villain was pretty cool, but as a whole it was made by modern people of mediocre intelligence the entire time going "eh remember this thing from The Shining eh?".

djKENTO

This isn't just a terribly rude take it's also factually incorrect. The entire time? Hyperbole has ruined the discussion of film. The movie spends VERY LITTLE time doing any nostalgia bait and what is there is thematically appropriate.

sheriffjt

Given you already saw Friday the 13th, I'd love to see you watch the next couple of parts. You haven't even seen the series antagonist yet! Friday the 13th without Jason Voorhies is a sad thing indeed

sarCC

One Cut Of The Dead is incredible, one of the best movies this century. And it will be such a heartwarming treat for Simone!

David Zabel

Doctor Sleep and it’s not even close.

Steve Mercier

Ahhhh...nice to see Doctor Sleep is winning...spectacular sequel to The Shining.

Steven Cavanagh

Brightburn, Lost Boys, Dog Soldiers all Movies I would recommend.

Jeff I.

MR, I think that's an overly superficial take on the movie. There are obviously connections and callbacks to The Shining, as Doctor Sleep is basically a sequel, and those connections make sense in relation to the story/characters in Doctor Sleep (which is its own story while existing in the context of what happened in The Shining).

Roby Jennings

Everyone is dropping more scary movie suggestions, so I'll be the odd duck out and say I really think you should watch Tron and Tron: Legacy. Disney just announced a third, so now is the perfect time to check them out. Tron Legacy has an absolutely incredible score by Daft Punk and it was announced that Nine Inch Nails would be doing the music for the upcoming Tron Ares. I really think you both would enjoy them.

Jeff I.

For reference to George, the director's cut of Doctor Sleep is a little over 3 hours, while the original theatrical cut is just over 2 and a half hours. It's easier to find the theatrical cut online here in America, as the only place I see the director's cut here is on Youtube or Amazon (have to buy it instead of renting it). Personally, I've only seen the theatrical cut and thought it was very good!

HeyHeyJK

Yeah, it was made by Mike Flanagan, a fantastic horror writer director and a massive King fan who also has a new Stephen King adaptation coming out soon AND is going to be doing a series based on King's magnum opus "Dark Tower" series of books. King loves him and don't forget that "Dr. Sleep" is based on the novel ... written by Stephen King ... who also wrote "The Shining".

HeyHeyJK

So, since "Doctor Sleep" is on this poll, and it was directed by Mike Flanagan, I'm putting in yet another plea for you to react to the 10 episode limited series, "The Haunting of Hill House". One of my favorite series of all time and a master class in writing, directing, acting, etc. You'll be terrified from the start BUT slowly you'll start realizing you're crying in more and more episodes. An incredible adaptation of the original novel and film (my favorite 'haunted house' film ever) and statement on family grief.

Nat B

Very happy Doctor Sleep is doing so well in the poll. That's an amazing movie.

Nat B

Yes! The Haunting of Hill House should be required viewing. And both Simone and George would love it for sure, it's very much in their wheelhouse.

Jeff I.

Have to warn that Carrie is very dated and has a lot of bad acting from anyone who isn't Sissy Spacek or Piper Laurie (Carrie got them nominated for an Oscar for best actress and supporting actress respectively). But if you can look past that and some awkward/cringe scenes, it gets really good in the third act of the story thanks to Sissy's performance and De Palma's directing.

8bitAndy

Some smaller shows for when you finish Black Mirror... Clarkson's Farm (24 episodes) The People vs OJ Simpson (10 episodes) Sherlock (12 episodes (stop at 9 tho ;)) Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (10 episodes) Queen's Gambit (7 episodes) Star Wars: Andor (12 episodes) I would add The Good Place to this list, but I'm not sure if it fits the criteria for 'short show' being 4 seasons and 53 episodes

Shane Darcy

Now that we’re back in the horror discussion, I’d like to kindly suggest ‘Possession (1981)’ & ‘Infinity Pool (2023)’ for future poll consideration. I’d love to see a reaction to a movie as batsht insane as those

John

The Good place is great and I would strongly recommend it, it is a short 53 episodes (23 mins per)

Max Carter

You should watch The Witch. One of the best modern horror films

Jeff I.

Yeah, I'd honestly like to see them do The Witch a bit more than anything on this poll, but unfortunately they can't do any A24 movies for a while because of the recent copyright strike from the studio. :-(

Grandalf

The Witch should def be your first return to A24 films!

Matthew Blackwood

lol for once I actually HAVE the directors cut already - and it’s great. But the theatrical is really good! No need to pick the harder to find one!

Matthew Blackwood

Midnight Mass is kind of a masterpiece too. And just 7 episodes! But I’d go Hill House first.

Allen Pass

Sinister should definitely be up there. But for sure Doctor Sleep is an amazing movie.

Maiki

Also thought about suggesting Clarkson's Farm because it's amazing, but wasn't sure about it as it's a documentary and not fictional. Would be really great though. Edit: Would you consider stuff like that, George and Simone?

Odd Thomas

Bar Saw 2, all excellent choices. Doctor Sleep director's cut, obvs

Smooticus

I forgot how creepy Lake Mungo is. Apparently it also was an inspiration for Mike Flanagan when he filmed the Netflix version of Haunting of Hill House

Dan Halstead

If "Ben-Hur" is the pro- take on Christianity then "Carrie" is the anti-.

Jeff I.

Yeah, Midnight Mass is my personal favorite of Flanagan's works. Would love to see them do that one someday!

Truth

If Doctor Sleep wins i highly recommend you watch the Directors Cut. Ive seen both and the Directors Cut is hand down the superior version. Theatrical is good but Directors Cut is great.

Logan Kerlee

I'm voting for Hannibal and Scream 2. Both are sequels to movies that they've seen and both are entertaining while also being scary. I honestly don't remember much of anything from Scream 2 - I just want to watch it again. :P

Philipp Roensch

I will always defend the cheese of the Resident Evil movies. But I was also aching for a Dr Sleep rewatch, happy to see it!

Skyruff

I would suggest for this list: Night of the Living Dead (1968), Bless the child (2000) and Hannibal Rising (2007). Skip Hannibal (2001), it’s ok but a bit blah compared to Silence of the Lamb. Red Dragon (2002) is good but only loosely connected to the other books/movies.

Tyler L

Oh man, please don’t disappoint me on this one patrons! Been dying for Doctor Sleep to make the cut for awhile now! 😂

Dazzler & Em

scream 2 and insidious🙏🙏🙏

Monica Alarcon

Please watch the Director's Cut of Doctor Sleep...

Nat B

Another post to ask for the Director's Cut of Doctor Sleep. The Theatrical Cut is good, but the Director's Cut adds so much to the experience. It really is better.

Redrum Ritual

I thought they already watched Saw 2? Doctor Sleep puts you to sleep. I go with Carrie 1976. A great horror classic

Alex Ch

The long cut of Doctor Sleep is almost impossible to find legally without an expensive purchase, and the theatrical cut is available widely and easily.

Alex Ch

Oh hey George, John Woo’s new version of The Killer comes out on streaming August 23rd!!! I’m excited, even if it can’t possibly live up to the original.

Thomaz Chagas

Some suggestions: - Almost Famous (2000) - written and directed by Cameron Crowe - Big Fish (2003) - Make sure Simone is hydrated before watching. - Gangs of New York (2002) - Daniel Day-Lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio - Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)

Cc Decc

Well...Saw 2 is pretty brutal, and that franchise quickly began to feel cheap tortureporny rather than innovative.

Cc Decc

oops, meant to add the others: Carrie = interesting just as one of the iconic modern horror kickoffs, but its pretty dated and after half a century of seeing so much, not sure it shocks as it once did. Hannibal = couldn't hold a candle to Silence. Insidious was ok. I liked the Paranomrla serious better though (BTw, one you should watch at some point from that same 2010ish era called Case 39. Pretty creepy and disturbing).

Cc Decc

So I went with Scream 2, which was legitimately a pretty clever followup to a clever premise, and then even though George has seen it, Resident Evil, just because its an iconic IP. kind of a guilty pleasure movie. Not really good per se, but somehow entertains.

CT

Director's Cut of Doctor Sleep, please and thank you!

Dan Holmes

2 is ok still tho but after that it's ridiculous, 3 & 4 are watchable i guess

Dan Holmes

Carrie deserves to win The Exorcism of Emily Rose deserves to be on this list :)

JD Vien

Doctor Sleep would be a good introduction to Mike Flanagan horror. I'm not sure they've done any of his tv shows yet. The Haunting of Hill House would then be the obvious recommendation

Grandalf

I agree 💯. Flanagan is incredible. All 4 series and his movie Hush are worthy of reaction .

Grumblefunk

well no shit 'Jay', I'm well aware of the voting pool here, but thanks for the constructive criticism, jackass

ShoNuff3000

Will there never be a porno poll? 😂Jk

Cinebinge

Please help us keep the community peaceful and pleasant, and refrain from insulting other patrons. Continuing such behavior will result in a permanent ban, this will be the only warning. Thank you.

Brandon Meng

Me getting super excited seeing "Simones Favorite Genre" thinking it's a rom com poll only to succumb to the despair in the realization that it's a horror film poll Since we're on the topic of romance: Forgetting Sarah Marshall About Time Perks of Being a Wallflower Blue Valentine Lars and the Real Girl Love Actually Midnight in Paris Silver Linings Playbook 500 Days of Summer Punch Drunk Love Cheers!

tullius cicero

Have they watched the Shining? Do they know DR Sleep is a sequel?

Lola Lirola

Definitely seconding The Good Place. There recently was a Twitter thread asking "what tv show was good from the first episode to the last?", and The Good Place was up there in the podium.

Michael

God please no. The VVitch was pretentious and boring. It took everything my wife and I had not to laugh out loud in the theater at the ending.

The Film Effect

Director’s cut of Doctor Sleep only.

Fattydoe

Directors cut of doctor sleep is best.

HeyHeyJK

SO happy to see you end that list with "Punch Drunk Love" - my personal favorite 'rom-com' and in my top ten favorite films of all time, which I never thought would include a movie with Adam Sandler (and "Uncut Gems" is probably in my top 20 but definitely don't consider it a rom-com). PDL lives in its own weird little world but is ultimately so wonderful and romantic.

yudha

Directors sleep of doctor cut please

Dwight Scarn

Doctor Sleep is so good and underrated!!

8bitAndy

The Exorcism of Emily Rose is a great call. I wish it didn't get as much hate as it does because of the real life events it's based on. It's an excellent movie.

John

I agree, Night of the Living Dead is great and would lead to Romero's Dawn of the Dead

Kyle Style

how the crap is INsidious not winning this!

China Andronicus

Carrie needs more love. Absolute classic.

benjamin freeman

i know its early but this year im going in hard for my requests for "scent of a woman" for thanksgiving. i been with the channel for 3 years and every year i hope to see it and it doesn't get picked. its such a good movie one of Pacinos best it got him best acting Oscar and was nominated best movie!

Tyler Foster

I'm sure there are enough responses saying this already but I will still add, just in case: director's cut of Doctor Sleep, please.

Mycenaeus .

I think "The Birds" (1963) would be right up Simone's alley.

Jacob King

Meh, it’s good but not worth stopping most of the audience from seeing the reaction because they don’t own a copy. The extra scenes aren’t even fully colour graded.

Jacob King

I can see Simone enjoying Doctor Sleep it’s definitely got some low fantasy blended into the horror.

Alex Ch

If it was just this once, but there are just so many extended cut watchalongs…

Truth

nothings stopping you. its on amazon and youtube. very easy to find a copy actually.

Cc Decc

One thing: how is it possible The Giant Claw is not even an option here?? We should start a write in campaign.

David S

Fourth for Queen's Gambit. It's a limited series, so it's an easy single season and done. Excellent show

Nicodemus Archleone

Sinister (2012) would have been a good shout for this list. Also, would you ever consider doing a horror TV mini-series? Because The Haunting of Hill House would be perfect.

Tyler Foster

@Jacob not sure how you got that impression, the Director's Cut is indeed fully graded and finished in 4K HDR, and included on the official 4K, Blu-ray, and digital releases, the latter of which means it is widely available on digital platforms. I don't know if it's available to stream for "free" with subscription, but it should be exactly as accessible to viewers as the theatrical cut.

rictus grin

a few suggestions the Wicker Man (1973) or how about some Canadian Horror Deadringers Videodrome Scanners Shivers

Richard Burrell

COMPLETELY different genre, but you guys need to watch Manchester by the Sea - it should have won the Oscar that year! Casey Affleck won best actor though!

GumpOfThunder

Comedy suggestions: Semi Pro Naked gun 33 1/3 Drama suggestion Platoon

darkmoobs

If Doctor Sleep wins I highly recommend watching the director's cut.

Dazzler & Em

already sure that they are on your list but really recommend Us and Nope. they are perfect follow up films to Get Out.

Brandon Meng

Silver Linings probably better written and better acted but if I had my own version of Simone's "You've Got Mail" it would have to be Forgetting Sarah Marshall. One of those movies I could watch endlessly and just be in my happy place. I couldn't get over PDL's quirkiness, the awkward pacing of the movie to almost make you feel on edge at times, individual acting performances, and their ultimate portrayal of this insanely strange romance with all its weird dynamics! Love it!

Jacob King

I own it but I also don’t live in North America. So often this channel picks an edition that is region specific. Comedies are the worst offenders with multiple extended/uncut/international versions when the theatrical version is available to everyone. Doctor Sleep is a movie I love but I don’t think the benefit of a few extra scenes out weighs the cost of making people have to hunt around.

Tyler Foster

As far as I can tell at a glance, the wide release of the DC (included with the physical, available on digital) seems to be the same overseas.

Tyler Foster

The Blu-ray that includes it is $10 and the 4K is $15 in the US. Both of these are the standard wide release version available globally, and they should be equivalent prices overseas. It is not out of print or rare in any way.

Tyler Foster

Also, of the 84 comments here, if I counted right, 23 are people asking for the DC.

Benjamin-Ian Astley-schaack

Saw 2 is actually a pretty solid movie, despite how awful that franchise is. Still, understandable people aren't clamoring for that one.

CJour82

First time I voted for all the movies lol

Dirge Girl

A Boy and His Dog (1975) [Sci-fi/Comedy]

Salvatron

I haven't seen anyone react to Silent Hill, it could be Simone's new favorite.

Cc Decc

I was going through the Cinebinge horror collection, and while it generally has hit so many of the excellent ones, there's a subgenre of werewolf movies not very explored yet. Some suggestions: 1) The Howling -- legitimately creepy werewolf stuff with groundbreaking special effects (those late 70s to early 80s special effects peeps were amazing (Alien, The Thing, etc.). Always thought it was better than American Werewolf. 2) Dog Soldiers -- werewolves by the maker of The Descent, gruesome and creepy; 3) Wolfen -- flawed but really eerie

droodly

Is Slither (2006) on your horror list? I love that one.

Cc Decc

also, a movie others have reacted to that might have done really well on this poll: Event Horizon. Think its more popular now than when it first came out.

Cc Decc

Also: The Witch (2015). Anna Taylor Joy's debut I believe. Really well done. All about the atmosphere.

Jeff I.

IIRC, Simone has already seen that one from before they started the channel.

Jeff I.

Yes! It's so good and fun to watch with how it plays around with conventional horror movie tropes.

Justin Hunt

One that gets missed by all other reaction channels is "The Empty Man". It came out during 2020 pandemic and is a fantastic lower budget horror film.

Cc Decc

Also noted you guys may not have seen Underworld (2001) yet. Part of that 90s/00s vampire fascination, and the series that made Kate Beckinsale a star. Series with a lot of lore and a famous visual aesthetic.

Khan1001

G&S, please confirm which version of DS you are watching so we can get the right copy, directors cut? thanks

Odd Thomas

Woo-hoo! Finally Doctor Sleep!

Ludovic Ligot

Yeah for the director's cut ! G&S are going to love it, I'm sure. And they will see a very different side of "The Ferg"...

Nitedals

I would recommend Orphan 2009 for your next horror poll.

TERB!

I'd definitely love to see em react to Big Bird's cracked out uncle attacking planes

Jeff I.

Yeah, I've suggested that one a couple of times. The first 20 minutes or so alone are better than most horror movies. It's a shame it came out to little marketing in the middle of the pandemic.
