Dragonhunter

Awesome, BCS and Nobody in the same week!

Christopher Henderson

Finally Clerks hopefully Jay and Silent Bob(not the remake) then Clerks II.

Ginger

Looking forward to watching BCS for the first time with you guys :) Luckily I've seen the first 2 episodes already, otherwise the picture would be a bit of a spoiler. ;) Can't wait to see your reaction to the end of ep. 1 though :D

djKENTO

Ahhh we've already seen The Prophets help the last scion save Heaven, Hell, God herself and all creation... might as well see where they started.

Julian G

Pineapple express!!! Got some Mowi Wowie for such an occasion.

Nathan Jasper

Looks like a great recovery week!

Deco

That's one of the best weeks yet

djKENTO

Also... just went to snag Pineapple Express on 4K in preparation... THE MOVIE IS STILL AVAILABLE ON PSP UMD! 20 bucks brand new. https://a.co/d/47MvtUi THAT'S BANANAS! or in this case it's Pineapples!

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Ayy Bob Odenkirk’s week I guess. The guy’s truly fantastic. Also Clerks has a phrase about being here today that’s been said by someone in every place I’ve ever worked haha. Great week of entertainment ahead 👊

Reid Mclellan

I'm low-key scared of watching girl with the dragon tattoo again, I've seen some disturbing movies, but that one messed me up...

JoshG

I hope you get to jay and silent bob strike back after clerks!

Robbie Corrie

You guys might already know but Clerks is the first film is the View Askewniverse. The film order goes Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma (which you've already seen), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks 2, Zack and Miri (which Kevin has retroactively added into the universe recently by adding a character from this into the universe), Jay and Silent Bob Reboot and Clerks 3

Bill the Alderman

Yes, Clerks and Pinapple Express in one week! I better stock up!

QuigonJim25

'Nobody' is such an amazing film! Miles better than John Wick. I can't wait!

Theoshin

hella good week

djKENTO

That movie really pays off best if they go through it all.

Corabal

Fuck me, a week where I'll love all 3 films

JoshG

I haven’t actually seen any of the others. Might have to check them out.

Maratae

Looking forward for the Bob Odenkirk double feature!

djKENTO

If you like Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back you're going to flip when you watch Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma. Characters from all of those movies show up in Strike Back. It's like the stoner comedy version of Avengers: Endgame.

Crow

I'm excited for you to dip your toes in the Kevin Smith universe. I hope you enjoy them. :)

djKENTO

They've only reacted to Dogma. I don't think they've seen the Kevin Smith films as a whole.

Louis Srygley

I always like to believe that the character in Nobody shares the same universe as John Wick. Nobody works for the government, Wick works for the High Table (Non government)

djKENTO

They've already dipped their toes with a reaction to Dogma

Saddleface

Great week! But I am over hyped that you are starting the View Askewniverse! I love the Kevin Smith dialogue.

Thomas Yanez

Oooh, this is going to be a good week.

djKENTO

Yeah they're all connected. It'd be like watching Iron Man and skipping to Avengers. Characters from Clerks, Mallrats and Chasing Amy and Dogma (which they've seen) all show up in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Especially Jason Lee's character in Chasing Amy. In fact Jason Lee plays two characters from two of those movies in J&SB:SB

Louis Srygley

Of course David Leitch is producer in both and Director in Deadpool 2. So, Deadpool is in the same universe?

Anthony James Marshall

So happy about "Better Call Saul" I never finished the show and watching it along with you guys will be a tone of fun for me

Crytek

Very excited for Pineapple Express, not a lot of reactions out there for one of my favourite comedy movies

Senec

I'm so excited for Nobody, I think they're gonna love that one

Jeff K

Tuesday cannot get here soon enough.

mcfierce24

Clerks, Pineapple Express, and Nobody?!?!? Ooh wee!

JayF

Everything on this list except for PE is something I've seen and enjoyed.

Mr. Treat

Better call saul? On my birthday?! Awe shucks, you shouldnt have 😊

sol stapleton

I love everything next week

temsik28

Clerks! They are going to laugh so much.

BangDroid

OMG that Better Call Saul poster is a spoiler

FWPJR.

Heck yes!!!!!!! You two are going to react to Nobody, I loved that movie when I watched it. So I can’t wait to watch that reaction, plus we get a Pineapple Express and the first 2 episodes of BCS reaction. This will be a great week.

FWPJR.

I actually liked Nobody better than John Wick, I can bet I’m one of the very few that feels that way lol I do love the Wick movies though.

FWPJR.

Wow, someone actually feels the same as me about Nobody being better than John Wick. I definitely wasn’t expecting to see that in the comments, but I’m happy I did.

FrancescoTakesItEasy

I love it when they pick three films from my shelf 😍 I also just got my monthly weed supply, so let's fucking go!

Peppermint Maud’dib

More X-Men soon please, lead up to the inevitable Deadpool 3 reaction!

Will Sofer

I’m not even supposed to be here today!

Happy Hanukkah

Nobody's coming next week? Oh well.

CD

WhereTF did Clerks come from!? Soo excited. My friends and I, absolutely flipped when it came out. Sadly…I think Kevin Smith’s films, have been hit or miss since (I don’t fan-boy, just because it’s View Askew); with Chasing Amy being the best. And based on comments…it doesn’t look like either G or S has seen it?? Awesome! Hope it doesn’t mean Old School won’t get love, for finishing 2nd. Great week!!

Rev

Red State is another Kevin Smith movie (that hasn't been mentioned in the comments yet) that I absolutely love. It's not part of the View Askewniverse, so it doesn't need to be watched before or after anything else. Unlike any other movie he's done.

Alex Ch

One movie that George and Simone would definitely love is Primal Fear, with Richard Gere and Edward Norton. Please watch that.

Odd Thomas

George if you like competence in characters you'll love the Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movies

Kamil Krawczak

Please don't watch Pinnaple Express "sober" 😉😉😉

TheGemHead

Oh hell yeah! I love Clerks. I feel like you guys are going to really enjoy it.

Monica Alarcon

Thank you for these heads up, it's so useful. I'm going out of town for the weekend and I already have tomorrow and sunday's movies preloaded on my tablet to watch while I'm traveling.

Louis Srygley

Nobody also has that old guy in the old folks home. Not ruining any surprises.

Salleban

I hope someday you will be watchin A Beautiful Mind

sarCC

Dang...pretty cool week. Gotta dig out my Pineapple Express disc I guess lol. Also, YAY for Better Call Saul! So excited for you to meet one of my favorite characters in TV history.

YourBigBut

Salsa Shark...

Russ Verbofsky

i am not even suppose to be here today

Tyler Foster

@Christopher Henderson I would say it doesn't explicitly matter what order one watches the first four movies in (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma). Although there are references to events in the world that are shared between the movies and there's an extremely vague arc for Jay and Silent Bob, the plots are all about completely different characters, and so the stories don't affect each other. However, it is important to have seen all four of the previous movies before seeing the fifth, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, and then the subsequent movies (which is where the outright sequels start with Clerks II), they should be watched in chronological order (the only exceptions being the "Clerks" cartoon, and -- as far as I know, I haven't seen it -- Jay & Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie).

Tyler Foster

@Louis Srygley -- the more important connection between John Wick and Nobody behind the scenes is that they are both by writer Derek Kolstad. Leitch is a producer but I'm not sure how much he actually worked on Nobody. He is one of the founders of the stunt company 87North (formerly 87Eleven) with Chad Stahelski, which was one of the production companies that made Nobody. (Really, I would also not credit Leitch significantly with the John Wick movies either, as he was merely a co-director with Stahelski on John Wick 1, and then was not directly involved with any of the sequels, which Stahelski went onto direct by himself. Leitch's own directorial efforts Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Bullet Train, and The Fall Guy are all more "David Leitch projects.")

Tyler Foster

Even though I don't like Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back very much, I would still have said I liked Smith up to that point. I just wish he'd left the Askewniverse behind from then on, with the exception of the "Clerks" cartoon, which should have run for a long time.

Justtired

Good shout! Vastly underrated movie with some truly fun performances

Patrick

I think I know Pineapple Express word for word, much like Superbad. I'm a little sad comedies have seemed to have died off in the last ten years.

TheGrimOne

Clerks! Yes!

Brandon Meng

I don't remember the last time you did three movies in a row that I had to watch the full length versions with you. What a week!

nossieboy

Oh man I love Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back but each to their own

nossieboy

You Americans are so lucky it’s legal there Australia is avoiding it like the plague

REDR58

They are supposed to make a third movie, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon.

REDR58

Good thing all these movies are cheap, I don’t have any of them in my library. Looking forward to next week!

Crow

oh that's right, I forgot about that one.

Logan Kerlee

Hell yeah. :) Love a majority of these! Not sure on the last - but it'll be a fun watchalong regardless I'm sure.

MatthewBrown74m

Oh yes Nobody I love that movie. Also clerks awesome and relatable work.wise that is lol you hold that movie for awhile

FrancescoTakesItEasy

Nah, I'm German 😉 Legalization went into effect in April. But I feel you, it wasn't always easy in the past 20 years since I started smoking.

Tomas Gaspar

Since you started Star Trek with TOS...you will reach the episode Space Seed with Ricardo Montalban. You really have to keep this episode in Mind when you hopefully start watching the Movies after TOS. I really hope you do...you'll be entering a great Adventure with those.

Dustin Duvall

Happy to get a break from the heavier movies of late

FrancescoTakesItEasy

Yeah, Jay and Bob's arc can be tracked throughout the whole View Askewniverse movies. Mallrats actually takes place the day before Clerks (as indicated by the mention of Julie Dwyer's funeral in both films). Regardless, the first four movies don't build on each other, so the order doesn't matter as much, but Jay & Bob Strike Back is basically Reference: The Movie, and many jokes you won't get without the four preceeding films.

MPH

Clerks is incredible. Obviously Pineapple Express is awesome too. Do more comedies! George laughing is the best.

PureGonzo

The official week of Bob Odenkirk 🤩

Jeff K

I cannot begin to stress how much I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning. Just re-watched the opening of BCS and I genuinely can't wait to see y'all's reaction to it, given... y'know.

Lionbarber

Nobody might be the most amazingly underrated action movie of all time. Pure genius.

Paul Walker

Kind of wish you guys could see Nobody after completing Better Call Saul
