Just watched it. What a movie. Great acting, great score. I like how some nature shots, flash backs and voice over remind me of Malick‘s movies, especially The Thin Red Line. ps: I somehow didn‘t recognize Domhnall Gleeson ps2: glad we could see the cute kitten

Well now you've done the trifecta with a movie of each of the three amigos, Mexican directors Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men), Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth) and Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu (The Revenant). From 2013 to 2019 these three won every Best Director Oscar (Except in 2016) I hope you watch more of their movies and, probably unlikely, but I wish you would watch something from their pre-Hollywood careers (Y Tu Mamá También, Amores Perros and Cronos).

LOVE this film. For the love of The All-Father, please put The Last of The Mohicans on a poll. Similar time-setting, Michael Mann directing, Daniel Day-Lewis. Nuff said.

The "doesn't read scripts" thing about Tom Hardy could just mean about getting pitched scrips. Many actors are given scripts before choosing to sign on to a movie. I don't think is that he shows up to sets and doesn't know his lines. I don't think Christopher Nolan would appreciate stuff like that.

As much as I love this movie, the setting of it in terms of where they filmed momentarily took me out of it a few times. Like it's supposed to be set in South Dakota, but I immediately recognized the landscape and trees as further north into Canada (they filmed mostly in the Banff area IIRC). If they actually filmed in the part of South Dakota where the real story took place, it'd be open plains with few trees and certainly no mountains. Ha

OK so you,ve watched this movie by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu and Children of Men by Alfonso Cuarón. I would recomment you watch "Birdman" (2014), also by González Iñarritu, "Gravity" (2013) by Cuarón, and "The Shape of Water" (2017) by Guillermo del Toro. All great movies by Mexican directors.

This reaction was flat amazing! I wrote a book of a comment as the movie was playing but I'm not going to post it because I feel that'd be rude. xD I just want you guys to know that I had one hell of a great time watching this with you both! So much fun. This was my first time watching as well. :) This movie deserves all of the awards because damn, it was good stuff!
