Given Juno and Argo, another suggestion for a movie based on a successful novel by a Canadian author, and filmed and set partly in Canada: Life of Pi (2012). (By the way, TIL that Irrfan Khan passed away four years ago.)

I'm glad Juno won but it's kind of a lose-lose for you guys. No matter what name or pronouns you use for the protagonist someone is going to get offended or angry. I say just don't mind about that and enjoy the movie...

Excellent point. Maybe avoid talking about the actor and focus on the character who is a woman in this? Or if business is good, use the opportunity to weed out some problematic subs lol
